In gaming, performance must not only be high, but also durable, and Lenovo solves the problem with an air-cooled Snapdragon 888.
It was designed specifically for gaming and, to ensure high performance, it was even equipped with a cooling fan, the first smartphone in the world with this particular feature. This is Lenovo's Legion Phone Duel 2, the second of its generation and which, for the occasion, focuses everything on performance and innovation.
Born as an evolution of the previous model, this smartphone from the Hong Kong company has chosen to follow the path of improved features over radical change as often happens in the transition from one generation to another. In addition, the addition of the fan ensures that, even under stress, the device produced by Lenovo manages to ensure a high level of performance, averting the appearance of all those symptoms - such as slowdowns or difficulty in use - which are usually directly related to the increase in temperature of the processor and the component dedicated to video management.
Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2, the cooling system
To cool the new gaming device, Lenovo has chosen to use as many as two small fans connected to a heatsink made of copper and vapor chambers to remove heat faster and more effectively than in normal smartphones. Everything is regulated by an intake and exhaust system positioned inside the bump that houses the rear camera.
Although the choice obviously goes to make even more prominent the photo module, a long-standing issue that often divides fans of the sector, the result is remarkable. In fact, in the same space Lenovo has managed to insert two distinct features, thus optimizing the entire section of the smartphone.
Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2, main technical features
To manage the operations of the new Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2 is one of the most powerful SoC currently on the market. It is, in fact, the Snapdragon 888 from Qualcomm, exploited to its full potential to ensure a smooth performance during gaming actions. To this, then, we add the OLED display 6.92 "landscape oriented with 144Hz refresh rate, among the highest available.
Neither lacks a particularly powerful front camera, located on the side shell, for optimal use during the game and avoid possible obstruction in the use for gaming, and ultra fast charging, thanks to the 90W adapter and a dual USB-C port system that accelerates even more time.
