Motorola Edge 20 Lite, Edge 20 and Edge 20 Pro are official: seems to hit the balance between price and features, here's what they look like.
Motorola has unveiled the new Edge 20 range. It consists of a smartphone that can keep the price relatively low despite the technical features more than satisfactory for a user without excessive demands, Motorola Edge 20 Lite, and the products of higher range and price Motorola Edge 20 and Edge 20 Pro.
It is difficult to consider these last two top of the range, not so much for the technical characteristics that are of an excellent level on both, as for the price that the winged company has managed to contain within limits that many consider acceptable for the purchase of a new smartphone of medium-high range. In short, that of the Motorola Edge 20 is a bet with considerable chances of success because, unless special needs, potentially have all the credentials to convince everyone in their price range. The three, however, have some interesting common elements: above all there is a 6.67-inch OLED display from at least 90 Hz, a fingerprint reader on the side, a main camera with the same (amazing) 108-megapixel resolution and fast charging at 30 watts. The previous Motorola Edge/Edge+ range, on the other hand, despite having excellent technical features had not been very convincing for the price, considered excessive by most. Motorola seems to have understood the lesson and has adjusted prices downward.
Motorola Edge 20 Lite, technical characteristics
Motorola Edge 20 Lite deserves to be treated individually, if only because presumably it will be the most popular product in Italy and beyond. It marries the MediaTek Dimensity 720 chip made at 7 nanometers with a maximum frequency of 2 GHz and support for 5G networks, offers 6 or 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory of type UFS 2.1, and a 6.67-inch Full HD+ gOLED display with a maximum refresh rate of 90 Hz.
Three rear cameras: a 108-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor; on the front, there's a 32-megapixel sensor for selfies. Mono audio has featured Waves, while the battery is 5,000 mAh with support for 30-watt fast charging. Dimensions of 165.89 x 76 x 8.25 mm for 185 grams of weight. The operating system is Android 11.
Motorola Edge 20 and Edge 20 Pro, technical specifications
For Edge 20 Motorola chose the Snapdragon 778G from Qualcomm's list, a mid-range chip built at 6 nanometers, while for Edge 20 Pro the choice fell on the Snapdragon 870, a chip built at 7 nanometers that represents an evolution of the top of the range for 2020 Snapdragon 865. Display (almost) identical on both: an OLED panel (pOLED on Edge 20 Pro) from 6.67 inches with refresh rate of 144 Hz.
In terms of memory Motorola Edge 20 allows you to choose between 6 or 8 GB of RAM and between 128 or 256 GB of storage space type UFS 3.1, while Edge 20 Pro leaves no choice: 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage UFS 3.1.
