Nokia is determined to dive back into the fray. At the end of the year, in fact, expires the agreement with Microsoft that prevented it from using its brand on mobile devices
The historic Finnish brand of telephony dreams of returning to the glories of the past riding the wave of Android. The first models of smartphones and tablets should arrive on the market in the first three months of next year.
It was a news expected by many. The first signs of a return to the field of Nokia in the arena of telephony there were last May when HMD Global - a mobile startup founded by former Nokia employees - had announced its intention to produce smartphones with the Finnish brand. Nokia, in fact, had sold its noble division to Microsoft in 2013 to deal entirely with the production of telecommunications systems.

Nokia, by the way, is neither an investor nor a shareholder in HMD, but will receive royalties for the use of its brand for each device sold. It's true that it has been missing from the world stage for a few years, but its brand still enjoys a certain appeal, especially in emerging markets.
