A mysterious (but not too much) Oppo-branded smartphone has passed through the Chinese TENAA body: how it's made
The classic certification issued by one of the many certification bodies has allowed us to take a sneak peek at a new phone from Oppo. Specifically, it is a product identified with the initials PEYM00, which in recent hours has received certification from TENAA.
The fact that the Chinese telecommunications body has attached to the report some images has allowed the smartphone to be traced back to the range "K" of Oppo, and wanting to follow the hypothesis that goes for the most on the web since the discovery of the report of the TENAA should be the Pro variant of Oppo K9, ie the variant just more "peppery" smartphone that we already know because it was made official last May. There are also those who argue that Oppo PEYM00 instead may come to market as Oppo K11, but the initials 09-K Pro that can be glimpsed on the back of the smartphone photographed by the Chinese body leaves little doubt, so we can say with reasonable certainty that it is Oppo K9 Pro.
Oppo K9 Pro, the aesthetics
The initials in question - 09-K Pro - is located on the right side of the rear camera group, which Oppo designers have turned into a raised rectangle that occupies the entire width extension of the device, similarly, if you will, to what we saw on Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra 5G.
The camera sensors are instead arranged vertically on the left, in a rather classic way. On the right side would be the power button, on the left the rocker for adjusting the volume.
Oppo K9 Pro, the likely specifications
According to TENAA findings, Oppo K9 Pro has a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution (1,080 x 2.400 pixels) in a 20:9 format, in which is integrated the fingerprint reader.
To handle the operations arranged by the user there will be the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chip, the "standard" version of the slightly modified chip that OnePlus used on the recent Nord 2, the Dimensity 1200 AI. There should be two sizes of RAM and as many of storage space: 8 or 12 GB of RAM, 128 or 256 GB of internal.
As for the cameras, on the back, as the images show, there would be three sensors: the main 64-megapixel wide-angle, the second - in all likelihood an ultra wide-angle - 8 MP, and finally the third 2 MP on which there is no information, but probably could be a macro or a sensor for the detection of depth of field. For selfies instead a 16 MP camera on the front surface.
The alleged Oppo K9 Pro will almost certainly have Oppo's ColorOS user interface based on Android 11, while the battery should be 4,400 mAh capacity with support for fast charging, and it is possible that Oppo will resort to its VOOC technology that easily exceeds 50 watts. Three colorways are expected: blue, black and silver.
Oppo K9 Pro, how much it could cost
Depending on the markets, the Oppo K9 Pro could be offered as an update to the Realme GT Neo. According to the latest information, the smartphone could cost in China the equivalent of about 300 euros, but if it arrived in Italy due to taxes and various levies it would do so at a higher price.
