Redmi Note 10 Ultra 5G arrives any day now, along with a surprise

The Xiaomi group is ready to launch two new Redmi Notes: the first looks to the future, the second is a tribute to the 25 million fans of the Note series.

Change of plans regarding the Redmi Note 10 5G series, whose official launch is expected on May 26. According to a recent leak, the most advanced model of the line should arrive with the first name of Redmi Note 10 Ultra 5G - and no longer Redmi Note 10 Pro+ 5G - and have interesting technical specifications, from top 2021..

A part of Redmi Note 10 5G, the incoming series of the Chinese company, will be a total of three new smartphones: Redmi Note 105G, Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G and, precisely, Redmi Note 10 Ultra 5G. Common thread between the three variants is undoubtedly the type of connectivity, namely 5G, at least waiting to be able to have a deeper look between the features of the technological compartment of these new specimens. In fact, so far the only handful of information has been given by an image of a screen, spread on the net, showing some of the features that - if confirmed - would go to outline the most technical aspects of the new top of the range Redmi.

Redmi Note 10 Ultra 5G, technical specifications

According to what is reported within the leak, the new top variant of the Redmi series could count on a 6.53-inch AMOLED screen; inside, to guide operations we could find a processor Dimensity 1100. As for RAM and storage configurations, the devices for the Chinese market will reach the physical and virtual store shelves in three different sizes: 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB.

To power the device, then, there would be a capacious 5000mAh battery, with support for 33W fast charging. Of some weight also the primary sensor of the rear camera module: it is in fact spoken of 100MP, although no details have yet been revealed about the other lenses that will accompany it. Will also be present, probably, a fingerprint reader on the side shell, an IR port and a linear engine.

Notice, however, confirmed is that of the color: spread through a poster launched just by Redmi, Note 10 Ultra 5G will arrive in Phantom Blue shade, with a style that in the back side reminds another model: Xiaomi Mi 11 5G Signature Edition. The price, for the China market, is expected to be 1799 yuan, just under 230 euros.

Redmi Note 8, the flashback

In addition to this new specimen of the Note 10 Ultra 5G series, there would be another device that is pawing to peep. It is Redmi Note 8, 2019 edition of the smartphone that saw the light in 2014 selling 25 million units worldwide, ready to make a comeback with a fully updated version during 2021.

If the manufacturer limited itself to a post on Twitter to celebrate the milestone reached, without, however, pointing out whether the figure was reached only by Note 8 or by the entire series, it was the Telegram channel Xiaomi UI to launch the first details - unconfirmed - on the technical compartment of the smartphone: IPS LCD screen with 120Hz refresh rate, MediaTek Helio G85 processor (the same as the Note 9), 4000mAh battery and support for charging at 22.5W. It would also change the rear camera, with a quadruple module with 48MP main sensor, ultra wide angle, macro and depth of field.

Nothing is known about price and timing nor about the design of Redmi Note 8 2021 that, in any case, could follow that of the past, a choice that would also keep down the production costs also to the benefit of consumers.
