Samsung Galaxy S21+, revolutionary camera design

New Galaxy S21+ rumors announce a revolutionary camera design: features of the upcoming Samsung smartphone

The new Samsung Galaxy S21+ will have a revolutionary design for the camera compartment. The new renders circulating on the web show a three-sensor configuration with the module that houses them cast directly into the frame of the smartphone in the upper left part.

Samsung is thus preparing to launch the next series of Galaxy S21, S21 Ultra and S21 Plus with a decidedly new design for the camera, aimed at hiding the module instead of highlighting it (a choice made, however, by Huawei on its latest Mate 40 Pro). According to the renders unveiled by the MySmartPrice website, the Galaxy S21+ would feature a 6.7-inch display with a central hole that houses the front-facing camera. The smartphone will be shorter, wider and thicker than Galaxy S20 Plus and the 3.5mm headphone jack will disappear from the frame. In the coming months more and more details will come for the successors of the Galaxy S20 series, whose launch would be scheduled for next January 2021.

Galaxy S21+, renewed camera compartment

If the design of the new Samsung Galaxy S21 recalls that of the previous S20 series, the camera compartment in the renderings unveiled by the site MySmartPrice appears completely renewed. The camera module of Galaxy S21 Plus, and the other Galaxy S21 and S21 Ultra models, would be fused with the frame, which could be made of metal, and located in the upper left corner of the back of the smartphone.

From the rendering it is evident the triple configuration, but no rumor at the moment reveals the possible characteristics of the three sensors installed vertically, among which there could be the 108 MP Samsung sensor already seen on Xiaomi Mi Note 10. Outside the module but always in the left corner of the back cover, we finally find a cutout dedicated to the LED flash. On the front of the smartphone we find a selfie cam housed in the hole located at the top center in the display.

From the leaks of the rendering, we can find on the right edge of the device the power button and volume control, while at the top we see the compartment for inserting the SIM and other holes, probably for the microphone. At the bottom of the frame, however, we find a speaker grille, a microphone and a USB Type C port.

Galaxy S21+, the features

At the moment there are very few known features of the new Galaxy S21+. The 6.7-inch display would be a Samsung Infinity-O, with equal-sized bezels on all sides. The smartphone could be equipped with the new Qualcomm processor coming in 2021, the Snapdragon 875G for the variant on sale in the United States and South Korea, while in Europe it could arrive with an Exynos 2100 chipset. Both processors would be built with 5-nanometer architecture and would support 5G connectivity. According to the first rumors, the battery could have a capacity of 4660 mAh.

Samsung Galaxy S21: when they arrive?

Rumors about the launch of the new series of top-of-the-line smartphones from Samsung are becoming more and more insistent and this suggests a launch that could take place already in the coming months. There are those who indicate as a probable date of launch of the new Samsung Galaxy S21 next January 2021, in advance of its predecessors that arrived on the market in February 2020.
