L’anno inizia al meglio per tutti gli abbonati a Disney +. Già a partire da gennaio 2021 il pubblico potrà divertirsi con tanti titoli pensati per ogni gusto ed età, molti dei quali sono stati annunciati durante l’Investor Day.
Tra i titoli di maggiore spicco c’è WandaVision, la prima serie tv sul mondo Marvel che verrà lanciata in esclusiva sulla piattaforma. The content stars two characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, namely Wanda Maximoff and her beloved Vision, played by Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany, respectively. The two live in a residential neighborhood but during the series they begin to have doubts about the world around them: they suspect that nothing is as it seems, but soon they may discover that everything is the result of a spell cast on Wanda by a neighbor. The series is directed by Matt Shakman, while the writing is entrusted to Jac Schaeffer, who has already worked on Captain Marvel.
Trama Wandavision: here's what it's about
Unfortunately, fans could not have too many anticipations related to the plot of the TV series. For this reason, we will have to wait for the publication to fully understand all the dynamics. From the few information we have received, we know that the series will talk about the couple composed by Wanda Maximoff and Vision, two characters belonging to the Marvel Comics world.
Vision was born thanks to the union between the Mind Gem and Thor's lightning bolt. He is just like a human being, except for his organs which are synthetic. Thanks to the gem set in his forehead, he doesn't need to eat or drink and is able to emit rays from his eyes.
Wanda Maximoff is able to control people's minds. The couple is described in the Marvel comics and between the pages the two also manage to give birth to twins, unfortunately, however, this reality all a figment of Wanda's imagination. In fact, Vision already has a family of his own.
The WandaVision TV series could therefore be based on this fact, but it is not official. According to several previews, the events of the series are related to those of two Marvel movies, Infinity War and Endgame. According to rumors, we will see a sad and depressed Wanda due to the death of Vision. But thanks to a woman named Agatha, who is also her neighbor, she will be able to recreate in her mind a dimension where she can live happily with her beloved.
WandaVision: the full cast
In WandaVision we will see two actors already known in the role of the protagonists: Elizabeth Olsen will play Wanda while Paul Bettany will play Vision.
The cast also includes Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis, Kathryn Hahn will play neighbor Agatha, Randall Park (Jimmy Woo), Teyonah Parris (Monica) and many others. Together they will participate in the highly anticipated Marvel series, the first to be released exclusively on Disney +.
