WandaVision, the new Marvel series is coming to Disney+

Two characters interesting enough to deserve an entire TV series: Wanda and Vision are about to arrive on the Disney+ platform

Despite the slowdowns caused by the pandemic, WandaVision is set to land on the Disney+ platform by December 2020. After a long period of stops and postponements caused by Covid-19, filming has finally resumed, arousing the enthusiasm of fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe comics and movies.

The WandaVision TV series is centered on Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet and Vision, two characters born from the pen of Sten Lee but that we have also seen in the various Avengers movies. The writer of the show is Jac Schaeffer, who also collaborated on the creation of the Captain Marvel movie along with Brie Larson; while the director of the show will be Matt Shakman. The TV series is connected to the new era of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which began with the film about Black Widow. But to understand the plot it is necessary to take into account the events of the film Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The title of the series appeared in the promotional trailer announcing the upcoming titles in the Disney+ platform . So it seems that we will have more official news soon.

Trama WandaVision: what will the TV series be about

We do not yet have certain information about the plot of the TV series broadcast by Disney+, but certainly the main characters will be them, Wanda and Vision. The first is considered the most powerful mutant in the multiverse (although in the Avengers movie is a simple human who has acquired powers thanks to the gem of the mind). She can in fact alter reality and shape it to his liking.

In the course of the saga falls in love and marries Vision, an android capable of changing his body mass and with it the way he thinks and works. The two characters have appeared in several comic books and films of the Marvel world and are considered among the most interesting of the new era: that's why it was decided to create a TV series based on their strong relationship, but also on the life and evolution of their individual lives.

Cast of WandaVision: actors and characters

The two protagonists of the series will be played by Elizabeth Olsen, who will play the role of Wanda Maximoff and Paul Bettany, who instead will be Vision. We have already seen them in the cast of the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies. The cast is then joined by Teyonah Parris, who will play Monica Rambeau and Kat Dennings, in the role of Darcy Lewis, as well as Randall Park, who will return as FBI agent Jimmy Woo. This is the hard core of the cast currently engaged on the set of WandaVision.

When the TV series comes out on Disney+

The platform announced the upcoming 2020 releases via a video posted on Twitter. Among them stands out the title WandaVision, which according to many rumors we will see in December 2020.

In short, the streaming service to celebrate the first anniversary, expected on November 12, has many interesting titles in the pipeline, among them we also find the second season of The Mandalorian, coming on October 30. For the final date of WandaVision, however, we will have to wait for the next few weeks.
