Apple is preparing to launch the new AirPods Pro Lite and AirPods 3 headphones by early 2021: here's what they'll look like
Between September and October, Apple will unveil its new 2020 release products. In addition to the iPhone 12 series and the new iPads, the new AirPods Pro Lite and AirPods 3 headphones could also arrive, whose features on the three upcoming models are starting to circulate on the net.
According to leaker Jon Prosser, Apple could also soon launch the AirPods Studio, which will resemble the Beats Studio3 Wireless headphones. So these are over-ear headphones that could be modular, so they will have better microphone and be sweat resistant. The price for the Studio version will be $349, well above that of the classic AirPods earbuds. If the Studio remains a hypothesis, what is certain is that Apple will renew its offer of earbuds aligning also with a lower budget market, introducing a Lite version of the AirPods Pro.
AirPods 3 and Pro Lite, here's how they will be
The AirPods 3 are destined to change completely: both will be equipped with an internal SiP chip, which allows Apple to optimize the space to be able to add in the small size of the earbuds new components and increase the functions. The new chip will be able to manage audio, Siri interactions and optimize active noise cancellation and transparency mode.
The AirPods Pro Lite however will be Apple's budget line, which as it has already done with iPhone SE and Apple Wacht SE, is looking to expand into the mid-range budget market as well. The new headphones could still have great features, being still an Apple product, but a more affordable price.
AirPods, the prices of the new earbuds
The new AirPods could be launched by 2020 and hit the market in early 2021. At the moment, the AirPods cost 179 euros with charging case included and 229 euros with the wireless charging case. The AirPods Pro, on the other hand, are priced at €279. According to rumors, the new AirPods Pro Lite could not be placed in the middle of this price range, because it would reduce the market for the other two devices. For this reason, leakers believe that it is more likely that while AirPods 3 will follow the price of the old AirPods, the Lite version could cost less than 200 euros to create a new market.
