Finally EMUI 12 is ready to debut: it will still take some patience, but at least there is the detailed list of which Huawei smartphones will receive it
The wait is finally over during the latest event organized by Huawei. The update to EMUI 12 finally has a period in which to keep the antennas "stretched" waiting for news, and it has also been clarified which of the company's smartphones will receive the latest version of the user interface through a software update.
Needless to deny that, despite the name being different, EMUI 12 is really very similar to HarmonyOS, the operating system developed from scratch by the company to make up for the consequences of the notorious US trade ban in record time.

New animations and customization options, with small innovations that can make a difference, such as adjusting the "weight" of the font, which can now be adjusted according to your preferences or visual capabilities.
Needless to say, Huawei on EMUI 12 claims to have fixed the bugs of the previous generation and especially to have improved performance. Renewed the control panel, which highlights a feeling that you have a bit everywhere immersing yourself inside the new virtual environment of Huawei smartphones: the EMUI 12, as mentioned in the opening, is very similar to HarmonyOS 2.0.
And if the similarities are so obvious it's probably because Huawei is looking (already for some time) to the future, in which there will be no more Android and not even EMUI, but only HarmonyOS: if the two are so similar it is also to cushion as much as possible to users the transition from the "old" to the "new". Speaking of old and new: it would seem that EMUI 12 is based on Android 11 and not the latest Android 12.
