The P40 Lite E is a new low-cost smartphone from Huawei. On board the HiSilicon Kirin 710F chipset with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory
The cheapest Huawei smartphone of the moment is called P40 Lite E, it joins the P40 Lite and, since a few hours, has also landed in Europe at a really low price. The confirmation comes from Poland, where the smartphone has appeared on the regional site of Huawei.
It was not at all obvious that Huawei would bring to Europe its latest low cost cell phones, already on sale in Asia for some time: the well-known ban of the United States against the company and the debate, also in Europe, on the role that Huawei may have in the development of the 5G network have put the Chinese manufacturer in a bad light and have put more than a stick in the wheels. But Huawei goes ahead anyway and, the P40 Lite E arrives on the first European market without Google's mobile services, but with Huawei Mobile Services on board to replace them. We'll see, in a few weeks, if the users of the old continent will want to buy this Android smartphone with good features, great price but without the official support of Google.
Huawei P40 Lite E: technical characteristics
The Huawei P40 Lite E is a large device (159x76x8 millimeters and 176 grams in weight) with a 6.39-inch LCD IPS screen, equipped with a hole in the top left corner for the front camera, 8MP f/2.0. At the rear, however, we find three photo sensors: 48 MP f/1.8, 8 MP f/2.4 wide-angle and 2 MP f/2.4 depth sensor. Under the hood is a proprietary HiSilicon Kirin 710F SoC with Mali G51-MP4 GPU. RAM is 4 GB, while storage is 64 GB expandable to 512 GB with a microSD card. Biometric unlocking is done with the fingerprint sensor, located on the back, while the battery is an impressive 4,000 mAh and, according to Huawei, keeps the smartphone running for 20 hours of Internet browsing, 22 hours of video playback and more than 100 hours of music playback.
Huawei P40 Lite E: how much does it cost
The new low-cost smartphone Huawei P40 Lite E is on sale in Poland, with Android 9 and EMUI 9.1 and in Aurora Blue or black colors, at a price of 699 zloty, which at current exchange rate makes 162.57 euros. You can also buy it in 20 monthly installments at zero interest from 34.95 zloty, or 8.13 euros. In both cases Huawei gives away along with the P40 Lite E also a Huawei Band 4 Pro, which alone costs a whopping 79.90 euros. The smartphone is not yet available in the Italian shop of Huawei, but it should not be long before you can buy it in Italy as well.
