The Moto G6 will come to market in 2018 in three different versions: in addition to the "classic" one, there will also be the Moto G6 Plus and the Moto G6 Play
Three is better than one. This must have thought Lenovo for the development of the new Moto G6 coming out in 2018. The Chinese company, which for almost three years has acquired the historic Motorola brand and is trying to relaunch through very interesting smartphones (such as the Moto Z2 Play and Moto Z2 Force) would be ready to launch three versions of the new Moto G6.
According to the various rumors, in addition to the Moto G6 and Moto G6 Plus, should also be made the Moto G6 Play version, usually dedicated to those who are looking for a device with fairly limited technical features. For the Moto G series this is a return: in fact, the Play variant had not been realized in the last Moto G5 that came out in the versions: Moto G5, Moto G5S, Moto G5 Plus and Moto G5S Plus. The choice of Motorola was anticipated on Twitter by the profile of Evan Blass, a journalist who is always well informed about the world of smartphones and who in recent years has provided many rumors that turned out to be true.
How will the Moto G6
For the moment there is little information regarding the new Moto G6. But it is not difficult to guess the data sheets of the three devices coming out in 2018. The Moto G series has always been characterized by devices with good value for money and features typical of mid-range devices. The Moto G6 should mount a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 series processor (630?660?) supported by at least 3/4GB of RAM and 32/64GB of internal storage. The Moto G6 Plus should have a very similar spec sheet, with the only difference being the screen which will have a much more generous size (no less than 5.5 inches). Will the display also be 18:9? Hard to say now, but for the moment Motorola/Lenovo has not yet implemented the new screens on their phones, focusing on other features to differentiate themselves from the masses (Moto Mods for example).
How will the Moto G6 Play be instead? Usually it's a smartphone with technical features typical of an entry-level. Most likely on board we'll find a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 series chipset (430? 435?) supported by 2/3GB of RAM. The camera? Hardly there will be a dual rear sensor, which instead could be mounted on the Moto G6 and Moto G6 Plus.
Moto G6
The first major 2018 event dedicated to smartphones will be the Mobile World Congress and will be held from February 26 to March 1 in Barcelona. Could this be the good opportunity to present the new Moto G6? Possibly, but to get the confirmation on the release date of Moto G6 we will have to wait a bit more.
