Microsoft changes the user interface, and therefore the experience, of its current Xbox consoles and unifies it to the one that gamers will be able to exploit on Xbox Series X and S
Waiting for the next generation consoles, Xbox Series X and Series S whose launch is scheduled for next November 10, Microsoft has unveiled the new interface for Xbox One through the latest update released a few hours ago. The differences with the past are obvious, as well as the improvements in terms of user experience.
We talked a lot during the presentation organized last August of the changes to the interface of the Xbox, finally available for download. Among the main strengths highlighted during the event, Microsoft had placed the emphasis not only on the new look and feel that leaves ample room for customization compared to previous versions, but also a faster loading and exit from games.
Xbox: what changes in the graphic interface
The revised and corrected interface of the latest update, as announced by Microsoft, will already be present on the two consoles that are getting closer to the debut phase. Gamers, both new and old, will be able to see and exploit the full potential of Xbox Series X and Series S, or rather Series X|S as per the style chosen by the Redmont-based colossus.
At first glance, it's hard not to notice how the new appearance of the interface is able to make the user experience with Xbox even more distinctive. The layout, in fact, appears immediately familiar to the most attentive eyes, becoming even more similar to the one used on other platforms, such as PC and mobile devices.
Among the peculiarities, there is the possibility to carry out automatic access to the account. Once logged in, players will be able to see their own profile in the style of the theme chosen from those made available by Xbox, in addition to the three new ones dedicated to the two consoles in anticipation of the imminent launch.
Xbox, with the new interface everything is faster
Turning to talk about speed, instead, Microsoft has guaranteed an improvement in the loading time of the home screen, equal to 50% during startup and 30% when exiting games. Add to that a drastic cut to the memory required: according to estimates revealed, it's a 40% decrease, although it hasn't been confirmed if such technological advancements will also benefit older consoles.
