Apple is working to boost the iPhone range with seven new devices: here are the features of the smartphones
The year 2020 will be a revolutionary year for Apple, at least as far as the iPhone is concerned. The Cupertino-based company is set to launch as many as five new iPhones this year, rising to six to seven by the start of 2021. Apple has realized that to remain competitive against Samsung, Huawei and other manufacturers that are entering the world of smartphones must begin to diversify its offer and also launch models that cost less than 1000 euros.
The first move is to relaunch the iPhone SE, the budget smartphone launched a few years ago. In March, the second version of the low-cost iPhone is expected: the name, however, will not be iPhone SE 2, but iPhone 9. In September, however, are expected as many as four new devices. On paper it should be the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro, but the name yet there are no confirmations. Two will be the economic models, while the Pro versions will be dedicated to those who are looking for a premium smartphone. iPhone 9, presentation in March
Design designed for the nostalgic, small size and on board hardware components already present on other iPhones. This is in short the presentation of the iPhone 9, the next low-cost smartphone from Apple. According to the latest rumors, the design should be reminiscent of that of the iPhone 8, with very thick bezels, physical TouchID and rear camera compartment composed of a single camera.
The screen should have a diagonal of 4.7 inches, while on board should find place the chipset A13 Bionic, the same present on the iPhone 11 Pro. 12 Megapixel rear camera and 5 Megapixel front camera. The price should not exceed 500 euros. The presentation should take place in March with the launch on the market in the following months.
iPhone 12: four smartphones in September 2020
Big date in September 2020: Apple is ready to launch as many as four new iPhones. They should all be part of the iPhone 12 family: two models will be top of the range affordable, while the other two will be part of the Pro version and will be premium devices. In addition to the size of the screen they should also differ in the performance offered and the number of cameras. The screen size ranges from a minimum of 5.4 inches for the iPhone 12, up to 6.7 inches for the iPhone 12 Pro Plus.
iPhone 2021: two more devices early this year
Two more iPhones are expected to see the light of day in 2021. There are rumors of an early-year launch for the iPhone 9 Plus, which would differ from the previous model only in screen size, which would increase from 4.7 inches to 5.5 or 6.1 inches. The other model, however, would be a top of the line with a unique feature: the disappearance of all physical ports, so even the Lightning one.
