Summer comes into its own and it does so also on the various streaming platforms. After Netflix, Disney+ also announces what's new in July: from feature films for the whole family, to animated movies and even a highly anticipated musical.
We're talking about Hamilton, the Broadway show that has already been a huge success in the United States and that will finally land on July 3 in Italy to enchant all fans of the genre. On the other hand, Disney+ has already accustomed us to exceptional titles, designed especially for children and families. In its catalog we find content belonging to all brands of the manufacturer, from Marvel films to those Pixar, to Star Wars and also National Geographic documentaries. And speaking of documentaries in July are coming two new content. But the most anticipated titles also stands out Black is King, visual album by Beyoncé.
July's new features on Disney Plus: Hamilton
Hamilton is definitely the most anticipated title and also the most sponsored by the platform. It tells the story of one of the founding fathers of the United States, Alexander Hamilton. Disney had purchased the rights to screen it in theaters in October 2021, but given the uncertain situation due to the Coronavirus, decided to include it in the July catalog of the streaming service. Hamilton will debut on July 3. The version was filmed at the Richard Rodgers Theatre in New York City in 2016.
July's News on Disney Plus: TV Series
On July 3, Penny on M.A.R.S. will be available, an English-language but Italian-produced TV series. It is the spin-off of Alex&Co. The first season had debuted in 2018 on Disney Channel and also broadcast on Rai Gulp in our country. It tells the story of Penny, a shy and sensitive teenager played by Olivia-Mai Barrett, who cultivates a great passion for the world of entertainment and enrolls in the musical high school M.A.R.S. On the same vein will also arrive Sonny among the Stars on July 31. The storyline is about Sonny, a teenager who dreams of becoming an actress and joins the cast of the comedy "So Random!".
July's New Releases on Disney Plus: National Geographic
On July 3 we will also see the first season of the TV series The Kingdom of the White Wolf for the National Geographic channel. Explorer Ronan Donovan sets out to find the fascinating white wolf and other creatures. Fans of the genre will also enjoy Curious Tourists With Bob and Mack, the original series consisting of six episodes will arrive on July 24 on Disney +. It tells the adventures of Bob Woodruff and his son around the world: an opportunity to confront and reflect on the father-son relationship and to discover many wild and unexplored spaces of the Planet.
New Releases July 2020 Disney +: the movies
The second part of the month will be devoted mainly to feature films. On July 17, the film Freaky Friday will be released, while on July 24 you can see Spies Under Cover, an animated film that tells the adventures of Lance Sterling, a 007-style secret agent who must retrieve a dangerous briefcase, but is accidentally turned into a pigeon. The live action The Nutcracker and the Four Realms and the romantic comedy 27 Times White starring actress Katherine Heigl will arrive on July 31.
