The rumors and indiscretions output of the new Samsung Galaxy S11 do not stop, but this time it is precisely Korean colossus to put its hand. In the source code of the One UI 2.0 some users have found folders dedicated to the next top of the range home Samsung. And in the folders there were documents and files with clear references to the chipset and some features that we will find in the Galaxy S11.
We are still missing a lot of time to the official presentation that, almost for sure, will take place during the second half of February. For some analysts Samsung will unveil its new smartphone during an event during the Mobile World Congress 2020 to be held in Barcelona from February 24 to 27, while others believe that the Asian giant will organize a conference dedicated specifically to the launch of the Galaxy S11, a Samsung Unpacked that will presumably take place on February 18, 2020.
Galaxy S11: specifications unveiled
This time it was Samsung that accidentally unveiled some specifications of the new Galaxy S11, the next top range of the South Korean manufacturer that will replace the now famous S10. With the release of the beta version of the new One UI 2.0 interface Samsung has unintentionally leaked, or so it seems, a series of information about the new Galaxy S11. As usual, the code has been plumbed and the searches have yielded the desired fruit.
Gizchina and Max Weibach of XDA Developers have discovered some folders and XML files that leave nothing to the imagination. In particular, reference is made to the Exynos 9830 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processors. Also found in the code are numerous hints about LPDDR5 RAM type and UFS 3.1 internal memory, as well as 5G support.
Galaxy S11: spectrometer and 108 Megapixel camera
The new top-of-the-line smartphone from the South Korean giant, according to always the numerous rumors present online, should be equipped with a spectrometer designed for different uses: as a sensor for alcohol, to scan the skin or other objects to get specific information, perhaps processed with artificial intelligence algorithms and enriched by the possibilities offered by virtual reality.
The photographic compartment should sport the new 108 MegaPixel lens developed in collaboration with Xiaomi and already presented in the Mi Mix Alpha concept-phone. Finally, the Samsung Galaxy S11 should support 45 Watt fast charging, wireless charging and reverse wireless charging to power other devices using the smartphone's battery.
