From It was the Hand of God to Succession, here are the titles that have received one or more nominations and that you can watch in streaming
Last December 13, the Golden Globes 2022 nominations were announced. In anticipation of the awards ceremony, which will be held next January 9, many of the TV series and movies that have received a nomination can be seen on the major streaming platforms.
The Golden Globes, founded by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association in 1944, are awarded every year and are considered the highest recognition in film and television. Nominations are divided into categories, many of which cover direction, soundtrack and acting performance, both lead and supporting. There is great anticipation, however, to find out which films and TV series will be judged the best.
Nominations on streaming platforms
This year there are a total of 27 nominations earned by films and TV series that are available (or will be available soon) on Netflix. Among them are It was the Hand of God by Paolo Sorrentino, nominated for best foreign film, The Power of the Dog, a cowboy story set in Montana, and for the musical/comedy category Don't Look Up, starring Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio. Among the TV series, there is no shortage of the highly regarded Squid Game, Pose and Maid.
Apple TV defended itself well: the platform's films received three nominations and its TV series, including Ted Lasso, eight. Disney+ got six nominations for films and two for series, and almost the same happened to Amazon Prime Video, which from January will make available on streaming A Hero, in contention for best foreign film.
