Official Honor X30 and Honor Play 30 Plus 5G, two Android smartphones rather cheap but with some interesting features: here they are
In the past few hours Honor has presented two new Android smartphones, Honor X30 and Honor Play 30 Plus 5G. These are two products with a quality-price ratio decidedly aggressive, which can therefore have their say in the market segment most fought of all, namely that of low-end products.
Between the two, Honor X30 is the one put better in terms of technical features. At the rear, Honor's new smartphone takes up the design already seen on Honor 50 Lite, with a circular camera group that overall gives it a modern design. To the "fresh" look of Honor X30 contributes the presence of a hole on the display for the selfie camera, absent on the cheaper Honor Play 30 Plus 5G on which the designers have adopted a teardrop notch that, although small, seems a bit outdated. The two smartphones, at least initially, will be available only in China, but in doubt it is good to know them more closely.
Honor X30 and Play 30 Plus 5G, as they are
Honor X30 features a screen in Full HD+ resolution of 6.81-inch LCD type with 120 Hz refresh rate, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 695 chip at 6 nanometers and 2.2 GHz maximum frequency, up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage space.
The cameras on Honor X30 are four in total including a 16-megapixel selfie camera, while on the back there's a 48-megapixel f/1.8 main camera, and two "ancillary" ones of just 2 megapixels each for macro photos and depth of field information. This is a dual SIM Android smartphone with a physical fingerprint reader on the back and a connectivity department that only lacks NFC: 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, USB-C, GPS, Glonass, Beidou, Galileo.
Honor X30 has the Magic UI 5.0 based on Android 11, a 4,800 mAh battery with 66-watt fast charging and measures 166.07 x 75.78 x 8.05 mm for 189 grams of weight.
Honor Play 30 Plus 5G is on a lower level in terms of technical specifications (and also pricing). It offers a 6.74-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution and 90 Hz refresh rate, the 7-nanometer, 2.2 GHz clocked MediaTek Dimensity 700 chip, up to 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of UFS 2.1 storage.
The cameras on the Honor Play 30 Plus 5G are three in total including a 5-megapixel selfie camera, while on the back there's a 13-megapixel f/1.8 main camera and a mere 2-megapixel camera for depth of field information. This is a dual SIM Android smartphone with a physical fingerprint reader on the side and support for 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, USB-C, GPS, Glonass, Beidou, Galileo.
Honor Play 30 Plus 5G has the Magic UI 5.0 user interface based on Android 11, a 5,000 mAh battery with 22.5-watt fast charging and measures 167.59 x 77.19 x 8.62 mm for 198 grams in weight.
Honor X30 and Play 30 Plus 5G, prices
