Huawei Music is the new app for listening to streaming music. Available on the Huawei store, it requires the payment of a monthly subscription of 9.99 euros
The Chinese giant makes available also in Europe the streaming music service Huawei Music. In Italy, the streaming platform takes the name of "Music" and offers a fairly large catalog, a catalog that will not fail to expand according to the plans of Huawei to impose itself on the market where the competition is currently very strong, starting with Spotify.
The Music app of Huawei is part of the project launched a few months ago by the Chinese company following the ban imposed by Donald Trump. In order to replace the apps and services developed by Google, Huawei has set to work to create a series of ad hoc apps that will slowly replace those of Big G. And Huawei Music fits perfectly into this new plan. The app is available on App Gallery, Huawei's online store on which the company is investing millions of dollars. Music is an app that requires a monthly subscription to get the Premium mode, just like it happens with other music streaming services.
Huawei Music: how it works
Clear and uncluttered the interface of Huawei Music. You can search by author or song, download songs to your device to listen to them offline, create custom or themed playlists, as well as listen to web radio stations and recognize a song with a feature that mimics the well-known Shazam app. At the moment the audio playback of streaming songs is limited to 320 kbps, but the maximum quality indicated for listening is 640 kbps.
Huawei Music: the cost and how to download it
Huawei Music provides the now classic free trial period of one month, after which you can subscribe at a price of 9.99 euros per month. The price is identical to that of the number one competitor, Spotify, as well as Tidal, YouTube Premiun and Apple Music.
The caalogue for now is a bit limited, but in the coming months it will be expanded. On the latest models of Huawei and Honor smartphones, the Huawei Music app is pre-installed, while the APK can be downloaded from the web page dedicated to the service. Registration must be done using only the Huawei ID, while, at least for now, payment is accepted only by credit card.
