The Huawei P30 Lite will be available in stores from April 10 at a launch price of 369 euros. On board the Kirin 710 with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of memory
A few hours after the presentation of the P30 and P30 Pro flagship devices, the range of Huawei 2019 smartphones is enriched with the mid-range Huawei P30 Lite which, as everyone expects from the Chinese brand by now, offers a very good price-to-features ratio.
As already anticipated in recent days, and as expected for a few months, the P30 Lite is nothing more than the rebranded version of the Nova 4e, a mid-range phone intended for the Chinese market. Huawei, therefore, continues to follow the path already seen last year with the P20 Lite, which was nothing but a Nova 3a rebranded for the global market. But how is the new P30 Lite? Very good, reading the technical specifications and especially comparing them with the price with which this device should arrive on store shelves and online.
Huawei P30 Lite: price and specifications
The new Huawei P30 Lite weighs 159 grams and mounts a processor SoC Kirin 710, built with 12 nm technology and 8 cores (4 Cortex-73 from 2.2 GHz flanked by as many Cortex A53 from 1.7 GHz), GPU Mali G51 MP4, well 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage memory (which can be expanded via microSD slot). But the feature that will make most Huawei P30 Lite buyers happy are the 3 rear cameras: one 24 MP, one 2 MP and the third 8 MP wide-angle camera. The front camera, on the other hand, is an impressive 32 MP and is encased in a central teardrop notch.
The display of the Huawei P30 Lite smartphone is 6.15 inches, with IPS technology and Full HD+ resolution (1,080×2,312 pixels). The bezels are very thin and almost all the available space of 152.9×72.7×7.4 mm is covered by the screen. The large size of the display and the fairly powerful hardware could instead be excessive for the battery that, unlike the rest of the components, does not shine for features: it is 3,340 mAh and has fast charging via USB Type-C connector. A value in line with the range and market positioning, but perhaps insufficient for a massive use of the device.
Huawei P30 Lite: when it comes out
The launch price of the Hauwei P30 Lite is 369 euros. Huawei P30 Lite is expected to arrive in Europe and Italy on April 10 and will be available in Midnight Black, Pearl White and Peacock Blue colors. It will have Android Pie 9 pre-installed with EMUI 9.1. In Italy it is not yet possible to preorder it, but in some markets you can already find it online and those who order it by April 10 will get a free Huawei Band 3 Pro. It is not yet known if and when Italian users will also be able to join the same offer.
