Huawei OS update is coming: but which will be the first smartphones to receive it and what changes await us?
EMUI is the user interface launched in 2012 and thought for Huawei's mobile devices. After the release of EMUI 10, the company has announced the release of a new update: it is called EMUI 11 and will be based on Android 11. The release of the UI is expected in the third quarter of 2020, but which smartphones will receive it is still unknown. In the last few hours, an unofficial list has appeared that allows you to get a good idea of what the release of EMUI 11 will look like
The new UI will continue the work started by Huawei with EMUI 10 and will work on specific areas. There will be some features designed to integrate the smartphone with smart home devices and to increase user security and privacy. Minimal improvements will also be made to the interface and icon design, which were already heavily revised with the release with the previous version. Here are which ones know the first Huawei smartphones to receive EMUI 11.
EMUI 11: on which Huawei smartphones will we find it?
A new screenshot published on Weibo, the most used social network in China, leaks some more indiscretions about the first Huawei smartphones that will receive the EMUI 11. The image in fact shows the list of devices that will be updated, among them also stand out several Honor products.
As already announced we will find the upgrade on the Huawei Mate 30 range and the Mate 20 X. Both in turn include three variants each. EMUI 11 will also be present on the new Huawei P40, P40 Pro and the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro. Finally, the Huawei Nova 6 5G and the Huawei Nova 5T series, which included the Nova 5T Pro, Nova 5z and the Nova 5i Pro
The list is not surprising for users, especially since many of these devices had been launched with Android 9 and 10 and now the Chinese company is ready to update them to the new version of the user interface.
EMUI 11: what's new
To get official news we'll probably have to wait for the Huawei Developer Conference 2020 that will be held between August and September. However, EMUI 11 is already causing discussion. Many users and fans are wondering what the new specifications and features will be. First of all, it will probably give a new look to Huawei smartphones, as already happened with EMUI 10, however the design will still be similar to Android so as not to send users too much confusion. There will also be improvements on the privacy and security side, and on the stability and speed of app launching.
