Excel: Show links - here's how to do it

In Excel you have the option to link different workbooks together using links. Every now and then, however, you may find that the workbook contains links that you can't find, even though Excel tells you that they are there. Learn how to find and view links.

How to find shortcuts in Excel

Follow these steps to display shortcuts to other workbooks in Excel:

1. Open the Excel file in which you want to display the shortcuts.
2. Call up the "Data" tab.
3. Click the "Existing links" option in "Retrieve and transform data" to display all links contained in the document.

Alternatively, you can also search for links using the search function.

1. Open the search function using the key combination [CTRL] and [F].
2. Click "Options" to show the advanced search settings.
3. Enter ".XL" in the search field.
4. Select "Workbook" in "Search".
5. Wählen Sie danach bei „Suchen in“ die Option „Formel“ aus.
6. Klicken Sie abschließend auf „Alle suchen“.

Verknüpfungen zwischen Arbeitsmappen anzeigen: Office 365 ProPlus und Professional Plus

Besitzen Sie eine Office Professional Plus oder eine Office 365 ProPlus Lizenz, können Sie sich Verknüpfungen zwischen Arbeitsmappen bequem als ein sogenanntes Arbeitsmappenbeziehungsdiagramm anzeigen lassen.

1. Öffnen Sie das Excel-Dokument, von dem Sie die Verknüpfungen einsehen möchten.
2. Wechseln Sie in die Registerkarte „Inquire“
3. Klicken Sie auf die Option „Arbeitsmappenbeziehungen“, um das Diagramm mit allen Verknüpfungen zu öffnen.
