The photo social has problems since early afternoon on Saturday, July 7. Hundreds of reports on Twitter and other sites
And now, users wonder, how will others know that we are at the beach or, even worse, on vacation? Jokes aside, as of about 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 7, Instagram is not working. Or, at least, it seems to be down some of its most used and appreciated features by users.
As reported by several hundred people (both in Italy and in the rest of the world) on industry portals - downdetector on all - and on Twitter, users would no longer be able to upload videos, photos or Stories with filters and other modifications. Same thing if you try to upload a Boomerang or a Superzoom video: the upload stops just before the end and users cannot show their followers their evolutions among the waves or their walks in the center of a European or world capital. In short, for the hundreds of millions of users who use Instagram it promises to be a Saturday afternoon more fiery than usual.
Instagram does not work on July 7, what we know so far
All information regarding the malfunction of Instagram is derived from direct experience and comments from other users on Twitter and industry portals. At the moment, about two hours after the first reports, the Facebook-owned company has not disclosed the reasons why it is impossible to upload videos or Stories on Instagram.
Looking at the situation, however, we can assume that there is a malfunction at the server level, which has temporarily inhibited the ability to upload multimedia content (excluding photos without filter), or an attempt to update gone wrong, so as to have created a temporary incompatibility between some features of the platform and the servers used to store the content itself.
However, it is likely that Instagram technicians are already working to solve the problem and already in the next few hours everything will return to normal. In short, don't worry if you can't upload your Stories for an afternoon and enjoy the beach in relaxation.
