Apple presents the iPhone 11, the budget smartphone dedicated to the mid-range. The price starts at $699: available for pre-order from September 13
Those who expected a change of pace from Apple will be disappointed. The Cupertino company presented in an event full of news the new iPhone 11, the budget smartphone successor to the iPhone Xr. The Cupertino company decided not to continue with the Xr series, but simply use the name iPhone 11 (eleven in English).
The smartphone follows the groove already traced by the previous model. On the front, the two devices are virtually identical: next-generation 6.1-inch Liquid Retina screen with a very large notch with sensors inside for FaceID and the front camera. The most interesting novelty is found in the rear, where there is a square bump with inside a dual 12-megapixel camera. In addition to the main sensor there is a wide-angle lens. Also integrated is the Night mode that promises great things with night shots. Even the battery life has been improved: an hour more than the previous model.
The iPhone 11 can be pre-ordered from Friday, September 13 and will arrive on the market on September 20. Pricing starts at $699.
The iPhone 11 features
A smartphone that follows a groove well traced by Apple in recent years. No major innovations capable of changing the industry. The Cupertino-based company has decided to postpone the changes to next year and for 2019 the smartphone lineup is very similar to what we have already seen in 2018.
The iPhone 11 is version 2.0 of the iPhone Xr. It is the low-cost smartphone on which Apple is betting to expand its slice of users. On the power front, the Cupertino company did not mind half measures: under the shell is the A13 Bionic processor capable of processing a trillion operations per second. The RAM in support should be 4GB and the internal memory comes up to 512GB. The Liquid Retina LCD screen has a 6.1-inch diagonal.
Great emphasis has been placed on the rear camera compartment. On the iPhone 11 debuts the square bumper located in the upper left corner that contains the two 12-megapixel cameras. The main sensor allows you to take pictures with a 2x optical zoom, while the secondary sensor is dedicated to wide-angle shots (focal aperture 1.8). As for video, it is possible to record movies with a 4K resolution at 60 frames per second.
The battery should provide an extra hour of battery life compared to the iPhone Xr. Absent is the 3.5mm audio jack. There is also no reverse charging, much talked about in the days leading up to the official presentation.
Price and release date iPhone 11
The smartphone is available for pre-order from Friday, September 13 at 12 noon at a price of 839 euros for the 64GB version. The 128GB model costs 889 euros, while for the 256GB version you have to shell out 1009 euros. The arrival in stores is scheduled for September 20. The available colors are purple, green, yellow, black, white and PRODUCT (RED).
