New confirmation arrives that the price of the iPhone 12 will be higher than last year's model: here's how much it will cost
Not a day goes by without a new news or information about the release or the price of the new iPhone 12. And this time the sources are very reliable: the online portals of Forbes and Bloomberg have published new reports about the latest news on the entire family of iPhone 12 coming out in the coming months. And it's not good news. In fact, according to the journalists of the two websites, the price of the iPhone 12 will be higher than last year (with an increase that varies by $100-150 depending on the model).
The other rather strange news for the Apple world is that no iPhone 12 will have iOS 14. In fact, due to delays in the release of the smartphone, they will all arrive with a later version of the operating system. Most likely they will be equipped with iOS 14.1, or iOS 14.0.1 or small later versions. This is the first time that all new Apple smartphones will skip the new version of the mobile operating system. As for the release and features of the iPhone 12, however, nothing new: market launch expected between October and November depending on the model.
How much will the iPhone 12 cost
A new report published by Forbes provides new information on the price of the iPhone 12. And the news is not good for users: all four models will cost more than the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro. The reason is the higher expenses incurred by Apple for the realization of the new iPhone 12: the implementation of 5G has increased the costs and also the use of some cheaper components and the elimination of the earphones and charger from the package has not improved the situation.
The price of the iPhone 12 will start from $749 for the base model with a 5.4-inch screen and will go up to $849 for the iPhone 12 Plus (new name of what until recently was known as iPhone 12 Max). For premium models, pricing starts at $1099 for the iPhone 12 Pro and goes up to $1199 for the base version of the iPhone 12 Pro Max. This is about $100-150 increase over the previous models.
Translating these prices to the Italian market, there will definitely be a 100-150 euro increase on all models and it will come close to 2000 euros for the highest performing version of the iPhone 12 Pro Max.
iPhone 12, will arrive with iOS 14.1
The Bloomberg website, on the other hand, raises a news that concerns the software part: the iPhone 12 will be the first Apple smartphone not to come out with the new version of the operating system (in this case iOS 14), but with a later one. The launch on the market of the devices is set between October and November and for that period is expected the release of iOS 14.1, version of the mobile OS that will also be present on the new iPhones.
When the iPhone 12 comes out
In this case you don't have to rely on any report published by some company, but the confirmation came directly from Apple. The new iPhone 12 will arrive "with a few weeks delay", but the Cupertino company did not want to specify the exact period. According to rumors, the output will be diversified according to the model: first the two iPhone 12 and then the two iPhone 12 Pro. The first should arrive by the end of October, the premium models in early November.
