Una nuova e attesa serie evento è arrivata nel Marvel Cinematic Universe: Loki. La serie vede protagonista il Dio dell’inganno, fratello adottivo di Thor, ed è trasmessa su Disney+ a partire dal 9 giugno. Each week will be released one of the 6 episodes that prepares us for the new chapter of the post-Avengers Marvel Universe.
The series is set in Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which is just after the events that took place in Avengers: Endgame. This new phase has already begun with other successful series: WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. It's a different timeline that opens up for new adventures and the TV series has a very specific role, which is to ferry fans into the new Marvel universe towards the first Phase Four movie: the arrival of Black Widow on screen.
Loki: the plot of the Marvel event series
Actor Tom Hiddleston will once again take on the role of Loki and face a new adventure that is set after Avengers: Endgame. The God of Deception has created an alternate timeline using the Tesseract taken from the other superheroes.
Loki will then find himself along with agents of the Time Variance Authority (TVA), the agency of time keepers who work to prevent the propagation of anomalies in the space-time continuum, and especially the creation of an infinite number of multiverse. In the six episodes of the series, Loki will become a field agent and along with Mobius must stop a looming threat that could forever ruin the smooth flow of time.
Loki: the cast of the Marvel series
The cast of Loki is packed with important new actors. Alongside Hiddleston we find Owen Wilson as Mobius M. Mobius, the TVA agent. TVA judge Ravonna Renslayer is played by Gugu Mbatha-Raw, hunters Hunter B-15 and Hunter C-20 are played by Wumni Mosaku and Sasha Lane respectively, "office drone" Casey is Eugene Cordero, and TVA's animated mascot Miss Minutes is Tara Strong.
Also featured are actors Richard E. Grant, Sophia Di Martino and Erika Coleman, whose role is not yet known. The creator of the series is Michael Waldron, former writer and producer of Rick & Morty and who will work on the screenplay of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Directing instead is Kate Herron, known for the Netflix comedy Sex Education.
Loki: when it arrives and where to see it
The first episode of Loki was released on June 9 on the Disney+ platform, which owns the Marvel channel. In all, the series consists of 6 episodes that will be released weekly every Wednesday until its conclusion. And for fans there is good news: work is already underway on the second season of the Marvel event series.
