Netflix releases October 2020: original TV series
October opens with the arrival of the original TV series "Good Morning, Verônica". The show's first season debuts October 1 on the platform. It is a Brazilian TV series based on the novel of the same name and centers on the character Verônica Torres, a police secretary working in São Paulo. The woman leads a quiet life with her family, but is abruptly interrupted by two events that shock her and push her to investigate with the help of her colleagues. The same day will also see the release of "Oktoberfest: Beer and Blood", a mini-series set in Munich during the famous Beer Festival, and the fourth season of "A Clumsy Witch", a series based on the novels of Jill Murphy.
On October 2 there will be the debut of "Emily in Paris", a TV series set in Paris and starring actress Lily Collins. Other notable new originals include "To The Lake," which will be released Oct. 7, and "The Haunting of Bly Manor," coming Oct. 9.
The second season of "Stranger," on the other hand, arrives Oct. 11. The Korean series is designed for lovers of the crime genre. Also in the second installment, the protagonists will be engaged in solving a murder case in a climate of deep political corruption.
In the second half of the month, audiences will be able to enjoy many new shows. The first season of "Social Distance" will arrive on October 15, while "Grand Army" and "The Revolution" will be available on October 16. The first is a teen series set in a Brooklyn high school, the second series instead tells the story of the French Revolution in an alternative way, focusing on the life of the inventor of the guillotine.
October 16 is a day full of news, will also arrive the third season "Strar Trek:Discovery" and "Someone must die", a mini-series set in Spain in the '50s where a boy introduces his boyfriend to his family and this upsets all the balances. The show has not yet arrived in Italy but has aroused a lot of curiosity among the public, also because we find some actors from other successful products, such as "Elite".
On October 23rd the new releases continue: we will see the first season of "Barbarians" and the miniseries "The Chess Queen". But the most eagerly awaited date is definitely October 30 when the audience will finally be able to enjoy the third and final season of "Suburra".
Netflix: original movies coming in October 2020
Aside the long list of TV series, several original films also stand out. Again, the choice will be vast. Among the most anticipated films we find "The Trial of Chicago 7" available on the platform from October 16. Written and directed by Aaron Sorkin, it tells the story of the seven activists who were tried for conspiracy and incitement to riot during the 1968 demonstrations in Chicago. This historical fact has influenced the history of American activism and politics - and not only - until today, and for this reason it has aroused a lot of curiosity among critics and audiences.
In the list of new releases we also find "Serious Men", the film that tells the story of a father who, in order to appear better in the eyes of his son, wants to achieve an important social ascent. Among the lighter and more family-friendly titles, "Hubie Halloween" stands out, available from October 7. The funny feature film starring Adam Sandler is perfect for gathering with family or friends on Halloween.
And speaking of movies suitable for children, October 23 is also "Over the Moon - Il Fantastico Mondo di Lunaria", an animated musical that tells the story of a little girl who builds a rocket to get into space and meet the goddess of the Moon. These are just a few of the many movies that will be released in October 2020 on Netflix. While you wait, you can devote yourself to watching the September 2020 releases.
