A cheap smartphone that bets everything on a good camera and three years of updates guaranteed by the manufacturer.
Nokia 5.4 will be distributed in Italy. The news comes directly from HMD Global, which has thus confirmed the launch on the Italian market of the smartphone that is positioned by right among the most interesting models of the medium-low range. Equipped with technical features of all respect, the new phone will be available at a price more than content.
This new device is certainly not the first of the manufacturer that manages to combine, in a more than egregious, significant performance at a cost really accessible to all pockets. Already during 2020, HMD Global had convinced experts and users thanks to the highly appreciated Nokia 5.3. With its successor, the company aims to repeat the success of last year, offering a revised and corrected version, with optimized capabilities through the application of artificial intelligence that do not go, in any case, to weigh on battery consumption. A phone, in short, made to last a long time.
Nokia 5.4, technical characteristics
Low price does not mean poor performance, at least in the case of Nokia 5.4 that manages to combine the two parameters very well. In fact, at the heart of this phone is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor, powered by a rather capacious 4,000mAh battery, with support for 10W charging. The screen measures 6.39 inches and features HD+ resolution, with punch hole for the front-facing camera.
As for storage, HMD Global's new smartphone will arrive with a 4GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration. Although in other countries it has been made available in two other variants, with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage and 6GB/64GB, the manufacturer has not given any information on whether it will also appear in Italian stores.
As happened with the Nokia 5.3, HMD Global has also relied on Android One as its operating system for this model. This means that, from launch, the smartphone will have three years of security updates available, with monthly releases, and two major system updates. It turns out then integrated the Family Link app, through which the user can monitor the activity of potentially at-risk family members using the device.
Nokia 5.4, camera features
The rear camera also has its strengths: it is a quad-cam with 48MP main sensor, a 5MP secondary with ultra-wide-angle lens and two 2MP sensors, respectively for macro and depth effects. The video mode, on the other hand, has been named Cinema and allows you to shoot at 24 fps, use visual effects and take advantage of the 21:9 cinema format. The package is completed by the digital image stabilizer and the proprietary OZO technology dedicated to audio.
Nokia 5.4, design and price
Nokia 5.4 stands out for its style, with a durable chassis and rigorous lines. Available in two colors, Dusk and Polar Night, it will arrive in Italian stores at a price of 199 euros.
