The New York Comic Con was the occasion when Amazon's Prime Video announced the upcoming TV series: all the news
Amazon Prime Video used its presence at the New York Comic Con to announce the new TV series coming in the next months on the streaming platform. Between trailers and exclusive clips, fans were able to find out what's new about their favorite TV series.
In October, So What You Did will arrive, the series that is a remake of the 1997 film of the same name. At the New York Comic Con, the old cast of the film passed the baton to the new protagonists, also answering questions from fans. In November, however, comes the second season of The Wheel of Time, a fantasy series that is an Amazon Original product, and the third season of the assassin Hanna. The season finale of The Expanse has been announced starting in December, while the adult fantasy-adventure animated series The Legend of Vox Machina will have to wait until February 2022. So What You Did: When It Arrives
So What You Did is the new Amazon Original series that will arrive on the streaming platform starting next October 15. During the New York Comic Con the actors took part in a panel, answering questions from fans. The big surprise was the presence of the original cast of the 1997 film, featuring Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillippe and Freddie Prinze Jr. The actors gave their support to the new cast, officially passing the baton.
The first four episodes of the series will be available from Friday, October 15 on Prime Video, then every Friday a new episode will be released until the season finale, which is scheduled for November 12.
The Wheel of Time: When the second season arrives
At New York Comic Con, an exclusive clip was presented on Amazon Original's fantasy series: The Wheel of Time. Also at the panel dedicated to the show was showrunner Rafe Judkins (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Hemlock Grove), who announced the new cast members for the second season.
The main cast will be joined by Ceara Coveney (Dad, The Amazing World of Emma), who will play one of the fan-favorite characters, Elayne Trakand. Natasha O'Keeffe (Peaky Blinders, Misfits) and Meera Syal (The Kumars at No. 42, Broadchurch) will also be coming to the series, but their roles have not yet been revealed. The Wheel of Time will be available to stream on Prime Video from November 19.
Hanna: when season 3 arrives
The adventures of Hanna, created by the sinister Utrax organization and trained to be an assassin, continue and in season 3 with the help of her former enemy she will try to destroy the Utrax organization from within.
The main cast will be joined by actor Ray Liotta as Gordon Evans, a respected ex-military man and intelligence agent who wields incredible inner power. Episodes of Hanna season 3 will arrive on Prime Video this November 24.
The Expanse, the finale: when season 6 arrives
The sixth and final season of The Expanse will see the final battle in the solar system, with asteroid attacks on Earth and Mars and lots of tension. The crew of the Rocinante is in danger of splitting up, as Chrisjen Avasarala sends former Martian Marine Bobbie Draper on a secret mission that could turn the tide of the conflict.
The highly anticipated season finale arrives streaming on Prime Video starting December 10, and an episode will be released every Friday until the conclusion scheduled for January 14, 2022.
The Legend of Vox Machina: When it arrives
The Legend of Vox Machina is an adult fantasy-adventure animated series based on the characters and adventures of Critical Role's first tabletop role-playing game (RPG) streaming campaign. The protagonists are a band of misfits with a passion for brawling and alcohol, who will end up trying to save the kingdom of Exandria from dark magical forces amidst tests of skill and obstacles to overcome.
The series is an Amazon Studios, Critical Role and Titmouse production for Amazon Prime Video and will arrive next on February 4, 2022.
