Samsung is about to launch a new low cost smartphone dedicated to those who want to save the most, without sacrificing the reliability of a great brand.
It has been talked about for several months now, but still has not been presented: Galaxy A02, the ultra cheap smartphone from Samsung, is waiting. But now we're closer to the launch, because the low cost Korean cell phone has received certification from NBTC, the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission of Thailand.
As always happens in the world of smartphones, certifications by national regulatory bodies herald the arrival of the product on the market: the device for which the request for certification is submitted, in fact, can not then be modified. So it is ready for production and sale. In the case of the Galaxy A02, then, most likely it will be a production in large numbers because the device promises to be extremely cheap, given the (at the time alleged) low-end data sheet. Samsung Galaxy A02 will not be a cell phone for technology enthusiasts, but a basic device, dedicated to those who want to save the most but at the same time want to rely on a well-known and reliable brand.
Samsung Galaxy A02: what we know
From the certifications obtained so far we know that the Galaxy A02 will be a 4G LTE dual SIM smartphone and with Bluetooth 4.2 connection. These technical features are certain and certified (radio connections must be mandatorily declared during certification).
The rest of the data sheet, however, is all to be confirmed. There is talk of a large battery of as much as 5,000 mAh and a 5.7-inch display with Infinity-V notch. The rear cameras should be 2: the main 13 MP and the secondary 2 MP.
The SoC will almost certainly be the four-core Mediatek MT6739 and 1.5 GHz, which supports a maximum resolution for the screen of 1440×720 pixels and can handle video up to 1080p resolution at 30 frames per second. This chipset allows you to use no more than 3 GB of RAM, but the Galaxy A02 might only have 2 GB. The storage space could be 32 or 64 GB.
Samsung Galaxy A02: when it arrives and how much it costs
As far as the launch date of the Samsung Galaxy A02 is concerned, there are few doubts: it's really missing very little because that NBTC is only the last of the certifications received by this device.
The official price has not yet been established, but we know that the A02 is a device with lower technical characteristics than the A02s and the A12 already seen. The Galaxy A02s in 3/32 GB version already on sale in Asia has an equivalent price in euros of about 115 euros.
