The feature to send money with PayPal is only available in the mobile version of Skype and can be used in the United States, Canada and also in Italy
The applications that allow their users to transfer money are more and more. Skype has also been added to these. Microsoft's messaging service, one of the first to offer the ability to call via the Internet, has signed a partnership with PayPal.
As announced by PayPal, in fact, Skype users can send money using the circuits offered by the company specializing in digital payment services. The feature, which can already be used, is available in the United States, Canada and other European countries, including Italy. This is not the first time that PayPal has reached agreements of this kind. In the past, in fact, the American company has entered into a partnership with Apple, thanks to which users of the bitten apple can send money via iMessage or using Siri. Even people who have an Outlook account have the possibility to transfer money through PayPal.
Available only in the mobile version
Another company with which PayPal has signed an agreement in the last period is Slack. And now it's also Skype's turn. The service is not however usable, at least for the moment, from the desktop version. Money transfers can be performed, in fact, only through Skype's mobile application, available for Android and iOS.
Users will be able to send and receive money by connecting their PayPal account to their Skype profile. To use the new feature and send money to contacts, it is necessary to download the latest version of the application with the blue logo. The money, however, can also be received by users not in possession of the latest update.
As mentioned, the service is also available in Italy and other European countries, among which there are: Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Latvia, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Portugal, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia and Spain.
