It took exactly 15 days, but finally PagoPA closed the Cashback ranking: those who made at least 50 valid transactions in the semester January-June 2021 received, on the IO app, a message informing them that yes, they really made it to get the 10% refund on purchases for a maximum of 150 euros.
The same cannot yet be said for those who aspire to the 1,500 euros of the Super Cashback: also in this case the ranking is closed, but it is not yet final. For a few days now, the number of minimum transactions to stay in the top 100 thousand has been stuck at 787, and the IO app now clearly says that "The ranking for this period is closed". But it is not yet time to sing victory for the serial swipers: the Decree Law 99 of June 30, 2021 in fact provides specific dates for any complaints, which must be respected before we can say that the ranking is the final one.
Tra gli oltre 6 milioni di utenti che hanno centrato l’obbiettivo Cashback ce ne sono 100.000 who have also hit the Super Cashback goal, but we still don't know who they are: no one, in fact, has received any message in which IO communicates the victory of 1,500 euros. Instead, there is a message that, generically, speaks of a closed ranking.
The reason is simple: in recent days, PagoPA has deleted thousands and thousands of transactions deemed invalid, causing many of those who aspired to enter the top one hundred thousand to fall in the ranking. A ranking that, as it is easy to imagine, is climbed one transaction at a time: it is enough to lose two or three transactions to go down even hundreds of positions.
The Law Decree 99 establishes that in case of inaccurate transaction counting (translated: if transactions that should not have been cancelled have been cancelled) the user can file a complaint starting from July 15 and not later than August 29. The complaint is processed by Consap Spa, which has 30 days to decide whether to readmit the transactions into the count or not.
In theory, therefore, the Super Cashback ranking could change until the end of September.
