For young and old, here are the best proposals of the Netflix streaming platform to spend December 25 wrapped in the magic of the holidays
Once you've unwrapped the presents and enjoyed the many courses of lunch, all that's left to do is to enjoy the rest of the day of December 25 in peace and relaxation. A great way to do it is to watch one of the many Christmas movies available on Netflix: it is the right choice to be wrapped by the magic of the holidays on the small screen.
There are several Christmas-themed movies visible in December on the streaming platform. There are some for all tastes and ages: comic, moving, romantic... Those who love the genre could watch Love Hard, which has as its protagonist a girl from Los Angeles who decides to make a surprise for the holidays to the boy from the East Coast met on a dating app. Plans, of course, do not go as planned! Among the titles designed for younger children, however, is A Child Called Christmas, released in 2021 and based on the novel of the same name by Matt Haig. Here are the other Christmas movies to watch on Netflix.
Christmas With Dad
In this hour-and-45-minute family comedy, four conflicted sisters discover the meaning of togetherness when their long-lost father shows up for Christmas at their stately family home. The cast includes Elizabeth Hurley, Kelsey Grammer, April Bowlby and John Cleese.
In the Shoes of a Princess - Chasing the Star
In this hour-and-46-minute film, a week before Christmas, the beautiful Duchess of Montenaro, Margaret, switches places with an ordinary Chicagoan named Stacey who resembles her in every way. Thanks to the magic of Christmas, the noblewoman falls in love with Stacey's handsome colleague who, in turn, falls for the duchess's dashing prince fiancé.
A Castle for Christmas
In this one-hour, 39-minute Christmas romance, celebrated American author Sophie Brown (played by Brooke Shields) travels to Scotland to escape a scandal. Here she is fascinated by a beautiful castle and intends to buy it, but the grumpy Duke Myles (Cary Elwes), the owner, is not convinced that he wants to sell it to a foreigner. Despite constant clashes, the two look for a solution and find much more than they bargained for.
Christmas in California - City Lights
This romantic film released in 2021, lasting one hour and 30 minutes, is the sequel to Christmas in California (also available on Netflix). In the sequel, a year has passed since Callie and Joseph fell in love and are happier than ever on their farm and winery. Business and family obligations, however, force them to return to San Francisco. The events that await them jeopardize their romance, which will have to prove itself strong enough to overcome any obstacle.
