The anticipation towards Android 12 is great. We are at the last beta, the stable version will arrive soon, but when on Xiaomi and Redmi products? And on which ones?
Android 12 is still in beta phase, the one in which a sort of preview of Google's operating system is released, not too stable and free of bugs, so not recommended for common users but perfect for developers and professionals, who in this way can adapt programs and apps to the operating system of tomorrow.
The beta phase is coming to an end, and consistent with the timing provided by Google Android 12 is approaching the release of the stable version, this one suitable for common users and ready to be used daily. It's natural that during the refinement process that leads the first beta to become a stable release, the expectation from fans has grown exponentially, and it's natural that those who own a product like those of Samsung or Xiaomi, who have systems based on Android but widely customized by manufacturers as One UI and MIUI, wonder when their smartphones will receive Android 12.
Time for Android 12 on Xiaomi and Redmi
Don't be fooled: owners of these products (and not only) will have a longer time than for example the Pixel, which being Google smartphones adopting Android in "pure" version will receive Android immediately, a few minutes after the official announcement. Those who own, for example, a Xiaomi or Redmi smartphone will receive Android 12 with a bit of delay compared to when Google will make it available, because Xiaomi engineers will have to sew the MIUI on the new Android 12.
But as we said the wait is high regardless of the manufacturer, and one of the community of fans to move first towards the adoption of Android 12 is that of Xiaomi, which has compiled a provisional list, unofficial, of products that should receive the latest evolution of the green robot. Visto che si tratta di un elenco non ufficiale, se un dispositivo non è in lista non significa che non possa ricevere Android 12: per avere la certezza (in un senso o nell’altro) bisogna attendere le dichiarazioni ufficiali di Xiaomi o di Redmi, o ancora di Poco e Black Shark, altri produttori del gruppo Xiaomi che adottano la MIUI.
Quando arriverà Android 12 per loro è impossibile dirlo, ma a spanne potremmo ipotizzare tra la fine del 2021 e la prima metà del 2022, se non oltre.
