Contradictory rumors about the Mi Mix 4. A Chinese site has already created the product page of the next top of the range Xiaomi, but the company denies the release soon
After having presented, last week, the new Mi 9 Pro G5 and having surprised everyone with the incredible Mi MIX Alpha Concept from the equally incredible price of 19.999 yuan (about $2800), Xiaomi has now denied that it will launch the new Mi MIX 4 later this year.
The Mi MIX 4 had in fact appeared in the list of a Chinese online store, making everyone believe that Xiaomi would present it by October at the latest. But Edward Bishop, Brand Promotion Manager of Xiaomi China, has denied this possibility with a post on Weibo in which he denies that new smartphones in the Mi MIX series will arrive by the end of 2019. For the Mi MIX 4, successor to the Mi MIX 3 launched last year, we will therefore have to wait until 2020, most likely the first quarter. From the technical characteristics leaked so far, however, it will be worth waiting.
Xiaomi Mi MIX 4: how it will be
As far as we know so far the most attractive feature of the Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 will be the camera: the same as the Mi MIX Alpha Concept, with 108 Mpixel lens made in collaboration with Samsung. The SoC chosen for this model will be Qualcomm's SnapDragon 855 Plus, the top of the American chip manufacturer. Of this smartphone there will be two versions: one with only 4G connectivity and one compatible with 5G networks. The display should be of the "waterfall" type, then "2.5D" (flat but with beveled edges) and could have a refresh rate of 90 Hz. It is also conceivable that the RAM could reach 12 GB.
Xiaomi Mi MIX 4: how much will it cost
In the Chinese store on which the Mi MIX 4 had appeared, it was reported a price of 9,999 yuan, which is about 1,280 euros. In reality, however, this is a fictitious price since then the card of this smartphone was removed. Basically, the store is preparing the page for the product, and accidentally published it with incomplete and unofficial data.
For the Mi MIX 4, however, a price similar to that of its predecessor is much more likely. The 5G variant could therefore cost around 5 thousand yuan, or around 650 euros. As always we are talking about prices for the Chinese market, which are significantly lower than those for international markets where you have to add, in addition to transport costs, a taxation much less advantageous
