Vudu7 V, the smartphone for the bike handlebars that makes videos

Vudu7 has introduced V, its little computer that acts as GPS, onboard system for performance and routes, HD video camera, stand-alone phone and theft alarm

For fans of two wheels and especially for lovers of electronic gadgets for the bicycle today is a good day. Bike accessories such as cameras, headlights and on-board computers usually clutter and weigh down your bike, but thanks to Vudu7 V now everything is packed into one device.

At the heart of the Vudu7 V is a cycling computer with a quad-core SoC, 4-inch screen and separate Bluetooth controller. All this is managed thanks to a customized version of Android 6.0. Using sensors such as GPS, accelerometer, gyroscope and barometer, it keeps track of various parameters such as speed, distance covered and the route taken. Of course, it also offers tips for navigating unfamiliar routes. It can be paired with various third-party devices and apps, such as power meters, heart rate monitors, performance analysis tools. And it features Wi-Fi connectivity.

Vudu 7 V, a bike smartphone

Vudu7 V doesn't miss a thing. We also find a 1080p HD camera on board to record our workouts or rides. There are two LED lights and even a slot to insert SIM cards. In fact, V can be used as a stand-alone phone or paired with a smartphone. There are also stereo speakers that can be used to play music or listen to incoming calls. All this is contained within a very durable waterproof polycarbonate casing and weighs 350 grams. V is powered by an 8,000mAh rechargeable battery.

Further Vudu7 V features and price

Vudu 7 V is removable, so when we don't use it on the bike it can be stored at home or in the garage. But the company recommends anchoring it to the bike because it also works as an alarm and, if activated, will alert the owner if a stranger is moving the bike. And if we don't hear it, it will also send a message to the smartphone to alert us of the theft. Moreover, thanks to GPS, finding the bike might not be impossible. If you're wondering, the answer is no. V doesn't also make coffee. Currently V is being launched with a crowdfunding campaign and should be introduced to the public for a price ranging from $300 to $450.
