IPhone 2019 and iPhone 2020, new features for battery and display

From Southeast Asia come new rumors about the iPhone XI and iPhone 2020. The first will have an increased battery, the second only OLED screens

The new iPhones will arrive in September 2019 but, as always happens for the most anticipated electronic devices, there are already several rumors circulating about how the new flagship products of the Cupertino company will be. And, incredibly, not only are the first rumors about the 2019 iPhones starting to circulate, but even those about the 2020 iPhones.

Indiscretions that come mainly from Apple's supply chain, which would already be receiving the first pre-orders for the components that will serve, in a few months and in about a year and a half, to build the 2019 and 2020 iPhones. On the other hand, as it is known, the big electronics have long development times and must schedule supplies in time so as not to find themselves with bottlenecks when the devices actually enter production. That doesn't mean, however, that the rumors we're about to reveal to you are 100% reliable: Apple could decide at the last minute to change some components.

How will the 2019 iPhone

According to the now well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo Apple has decided to mount on all three of its smartphones in the 2019 version a larger battery. The iPhone XS, which currently has a 2,658 mAh battery, will have one with 25% higher capacity. The iPhone XS Max, which today has a 3,174 mAh battery, will see it grow by 15%. Finally, the iPhone XR will have a battery increased by 5% from the current 2,942 mAh. The main reason for this increase in battery capacity on all three models is that Apple plans to introduce two-way wireless charging on the 2019 iPhones. That is, the ability to charge devices like the Apple Watch and AirPods by simply placing them on the new iPhones. With a larger battery, then, iPhones will still have enough charge left to run into the evening even if they give up some.

What the 2020 iPhone will look like

The main new feature of the 2020 iPhone, however, will be the screen. According to DigiTimes reports, in fact, in 2020 Apple will introduce three smartphones with OLED screens and diagonal sizes of 5.42 inches, 6.06 inches and 6.67 inches, respectively. The current iPhones, and future 2019 iPhones, on the other hand, mount and will mount two 5.8- and 6.5-inch OLEDs and a 6.1-inch LCD. For the 2020 iPhone with a 5.42-inch display, again according to DigiTimes, Apple is reportedly negotiating with Samsung and LG to supply Y-Octa and TOE displays, respectively. Little to nothing is known about the LG TOE display at the moment, while we know about the Samsung Y-Octa that it is a flexible AMOLED display that is thinner than regular OLEDs.
