OnePlus 5, smart camera and charging in 30 minutes

OnePlus 5 will be available from June 27. Two versions available: 499 euros for the basic model, 559 euros for the premium version

It only took 40 minutes for OnePlus to present its new top of the range: the OnePlus 5. The curiosity around the latest effort of the Chinese company was a lot, although most of the technical features had been anticiapta by indiscretions of recent weeks.

After the success of the OnePlus 3, the Chinese company was called to surprise and confirm. And to do so, OnePlus decided to improve the weak point of the previous model: the camera. On the OnePlus 5 has been mounted a dual rear camera with a 16-megapixel sensor and a 20-megapixel one. A great job has also been done in terms of optimization of the photographic software: the Chinese smartphone is a candidate to be one of the best camera phones of the year. But in addition to the rear camera there is much more: the features of the OnePlus 5 are true top of the range.

Chipset most powerful on the market, the Dash Charge that ensures a day's autonomy with a charge of only 30 minutes and unique accessories to customize your smartphone. The OnePlus 5 will be launched in two different versions and will be available to order from June 27. For the basic model will have to shell out 499 euros, for the "premium" version the price comes to 559 euros.

Technical features OnePlus 5

The technical specifications of the OnePlus 5 had been widely anticipated in previous days: the device mounts a Snapdragon chipset supported by 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of internal memory. The storage space is UFS 2.1, which is the fastest model available on the market and allows you to transfer files faster than before. The only negative note comes from the screen: the OnePlus 5 mounts a 5.5-inch display with a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, a step backwards compared to the competition. The OnePlus 5 is also dual SIM.

Camera OnePlus 5, born to impress

The expectation was all around the new photo compartment of the OnePlus 5 and the Chinese company has not betrayed the expectations. The rear camera consists of two sensors, both made by Sony. The "main sensor" is 16 Megapixels with a focal aperture of 1.7, while the secondary one is 20 Megapixels with a focal aperture of 2.6. The second camera is actually a telephoto lens capable of determining the distance between the sensor and objects around. The front camera is 16 Megapixel, with some features designed specifically for selfies.

OnePlus' work has not only focused on the photographic hardware, but also on the smartphone's software. The improvements in the photo software are notable, with features designed specifically for the OnePlus 5's new configuration. In portrait mode, the two lenses work together to create the right distance between the subject in the foreground and the one in the background, creating the famous bokeh effect. The Smart Capture feature, on the other hand, allows you to enlarge the objects to be photographed without decreasing the quality of the image.

Finally, the Pro mode allows you to manually manage all the various features of the image, but to know how to manage it at its best you need to be well versed on the subject.

Dash Charge, how to recharge your smartphone in just 30 minutes

Also the OnePlus 5 will benefit from Dash Charge, the particular technology developed by the Chinese company that allows you to charge your smartphone in a very short time. OnePlus ensures that you will have an autonomy of a day with only 30 minutes of charging. The battery is 3300mAh.

Oxygen 4.5 and the new Do Not Disturb mode

The OnePlus 5 will be distributed with the new version of Oxygen OS, the user interface developed by the Chinese company, very similar to Android "pure" but with some very interesting customizations. Oxygen 4.5 introduces a reading mode that recognizes ambient light and changes the grayscale to not fatigue the user's eyes. Do not Disturb mode, on the other hand, is designed specifically for gamers: when you launch your favorite video games, you won't be disturbed by notifications. App priority, on the other hand, allows you to load faster the applications that you use most.
