Fashion and technology lovers get ready: the new wearable by Louis Vuitton is on its way and will certainly not go unnoticed by fashion addicts
The worlds of fashion, luxury and technology are not completely unrelated. More and more often they can find strong points of contact that, as in the case of the fashion house Louis Vuitton, flow into the creation of wearables that combine elegance and functionality, without sacrificing a touch of exuberance. What is it about?
It is a smartwatch, to be precise the evolution of the previous model Tambour HorizonĀ (pictured), launched in mid-2017 and the protagonist of several revisits over the years. Tambour Horizon Light Up, this is the name of the incoming version, will be called to collect the legacy of its predecessor by integrating some new features that could make it a completely unique specimen of its kind. To make the announcement, as sometimes happens, has not been the production company but some promotional messages from well-known sales sites such as HypeBeast, Wareable and HypeBae, later removed. The confirmation from the manufacturing company and LVMH, multinational owner of the brand, came only later in front of the requests of the magazine The Verge.
Louis Vuitton Smartwatch, what will it look like?
Among the few unofficial rumors leaked online, the one that now seems more than likely is the presence on Tambour Horizon Light Up of a dial lighting system through a series of LED lights. According to the well-informed, there would be 24 RGB light points arranged around the display, which would create attractive color games with the same number of symbols of the brand placed as a decoration of the focal point of the smartwatch.
Another detailĀ is that relating to the OS of the device. To manage the smartwatch there would be no Wear OS, the software made by Google, but a proprietary operating system, compatible with Android, iOS and HarmonyOS. Inside, however, we should find the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100 platform, along with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage. For the display, the choice has fallen on a 1.2-inch AMOLED and 390x390px resolution.
Among other elements, reported by The Verge, the use of swipe gestures to navigate through content and the opportunity to manage your boarding passes with the touch of your finger. Like its competitors, the Tambour Horizon Light Up will also have multiple customizable dials available and will be able to track the health of the person wearing it.
Louis Vuitton smartwatch, when is it coming?
The date to mark on your calendar in order to secure one of Louis Vuitton's new smartwatch examples is January 7, 2022. For the price, however, there's still a wait: if the 2019 version has settled at $2,500, it's likely that its evolution could touch even higher levels, making it to all intents and purposes the ideal representation of the typical high-fashion wearable.
