Apple, FaceTime gets updated: group calls arrive

According to some rumors, the Cupertino-based company would be ready to add the new FaceTime feature with the update to iOS11

Not only Skype, even Apple could soon have its group video calls. The Californian company in fact would be planning to update Facetime with the next version of the mobile operating system. This is what emerges from the latest rumors.

The news, which still do not find any official confirmation, have been disclosed by the Israeli website The Verifier. Not a very reliable source then, although it is very difficult not to believe that Cupertino is working on the new feature: the risk is to bring its millions of users around the world to choose different solutions. The Apple Store, in fact, hosts many applications with which you can make group video calls. Group video calls with iOS 11

The Cupertino company is therefore willing to launch the challenge to its main competitors: Facebook, Google and Microsoft. The three giants in fact already offer their users the ability to make group video calls. Unlike the three competitors, however, the company based in Cupertino normally updates most of its applications through the launch of a new version of its operating system. It's very likely, therefore, that even in this case Apple will decide to follow this path. FaceTime in fact could support, according to what these rumors claim, group video calls starting from iOS 11.
