The third and final season of the TV series will arrive on Friday, October 30. The teaser offers many anticipations about the plot and cast. Here are the details
Suburra will be back on Netflix on October 30 with the third and final season: the announcement was officially made today on the streaming platform's Facebook channel. Also the actor Alessandro Borghi in a short video on his Instagram profile has confirmed the news.
Naturally, the news has immediately aroused the enthusiasm of fans, who had been waiting for months for the official date of the new season, especially after the stop of filming related to the Covid-19 emergency. On its Facebook page, Netflix has also published a teaser that immediately makes things clear about the plot: in the third season of the TV series we will witness a real showdown. Once again crime, church and politics will meet and clash to take power over Rome and Province. In the background it will always be her, the capital, which will be the setting for the last time for one of the best Italian series of recent years.
Cast of Suburra 3: actors and characters
The teaser published by Netflix leaves no room for doubt, in the new episodes we will see some of the characters that have characterized the TV series since the beginning. In the video we see in fact gathered in a circle Alessandro Borghi and Giacomo Ferrara, the beloved interpreters of Aureliano and Spadino. Next to them also appears Filippo Nigro, who plays Amedeo Cinaglia, and Francesco Acquaroli who instead is Samurai.
Along with them, Adamo Dionisi (Manfredi Anacleti), Paola Sotgiu (Adelaide Anacleti), Carlotta Antonelli (Angelica), Federica Sabatini (Nadia), Jacopo Venturiero (Adriano), Alberto Cracco (Cardinal Fiorenzo Nascari) and Claudia Gerini (Sara Moraschi) the quintessential female character of the TV series, will also be back in the TV series.
One of the big absentees is Eduardo Valdarnini (Lele Marchili). His character took his own life right at the end of the second season, leaving the audience stunned.
Suburra 3 plot: what will it be about?
After Lele's death, the balance of Suburra is even more fragile. And we're talking in particular about the friendship and alliance between Aureliano and Spadino, the two friends who belong to two criminal families traditionally in conflict with each other.
The situation is also complicated because Spadino's brother, Manfredi Anacleti, wakes up from his coma and is ready to regain control of his clan and especially of the Roman territory. The war seems to be just around the corner and, episode after episode, we will be able to understand how the clash between the strong powers that are gripping a tormented Rome will evolve. Who will prevail, the political faction, the criminal one or the church? Surely we can answer this question after watching the third series.
