Apple Watch Series 7 has been official since September 14, but there had been a lack of information regarding price and availability. Apple has remedied, here's when it arrives
Announced along with the iPhone 13 range, unlike all the products that came out during the virtual California Streaming event Apple Watch Series 7 has remained off the radar, and on its account there was practically nothing more known. Prices, when it would have been possible to buy one, nothing.
Fans can now go back to smiling, however, because Apple didn't waste too much time and the Watch Series 7 has become extremely topical again since the Cupertino company announced when pre-orders will be opened. The Apple smartwatch is the usual concrete product, improved over the previous generation on the aspects that Apple has deemed central, among which - this round - did not include the design that in light of rumors of the eve many thought could be renewed. No aesthetic innovations for Apple Watch Series 7, if you make the important exception of the display even more optimized with respect to the size, but a series of improvements under the hood.
Apple Watch Series 7 is a Series 6 even better
The design of Apple Watch Series 7, in fact, does not change from the past. Unaltered the rounded shapes of the case, although they have several years on their shoulders and the Apple range has switched for some time now to more angular lines.
In comparison with its predecessor, on Apple Watch Series 7 has grown by one millimeter the size of the case, now available in 41 and 45 mm variants. This slight change has important repercussions on the display, which, thanks to even thinner bezels (now measuring just 1.7 mm) is 20% larger overall than last year's model, and is capable of showing 50% more text.
But the Apple Watch Series 7 screen is not only larger, it's also 70% brighter in Always On mode, which constantly shows the date and time. The new size has led Apple to modify the existing dials and develop new ones that arrive with watchOS 8, the new operating system already available for the previous generations still supported.
A very welcome novelty is the introduction on the Apple Watch Series 7 of a glass to protect the screen 50% more resistant, and on the subject of resistance there are also to report water and dust resistance according to the IP6X standard.
Apple Watch Series 7, when it arrives
Apple Watch Series 7 will be available with a titanium case, steel or in the more "economical" aluminum, as well as special editions made in collaboration with Hermes and Nike. Prices start at €439 for the 41mm aluminum variant.
Apple Watch Series 7 availability is set for October 15, while pre-orders will start on Friday, October 8.
