After a few months of invitation-only installation, Fortnite opens its doors to all users with compatible smartphones. Here's how to download and install it on Android
The moment everyone (or almost everyone) has been waiting for is finally here. After a long period of "trial" (if you can call it that) and download by invitation, Fortnite for Android is finally available for everyone (or almost, as we shall see shortly). The video game of the year, capable of grinding out profits at an incredible rate, can be freely downloaded by those with compatible Android smartphones.
Fortnite Android was launched in a closed version to coincide with the launch of Samsung's Galaxy Note 9. For the first week, in fact, the game was only available for certain models produced by Samsung, leaving millions and millions of fans high and dry. The fasting, in fact, did not last long and Epic Games has made available for a few dozen devices, but always with the invitation of the software house. As of today, however, anyone can download the game, always following the procedure desired by the same Epic Games.
In fact, Fortnite has not been published on the Google Play Store like any other app, but can only be downloaded from the official portal of the developer. The reason for this is simple: if Epic Games had published Fortnite on the Play Store, it would have had to share part of the proceeds with Google.
How to download and install Fortnite Android
If you have a smartphone compatible with Fortnite and would like to install it, you'll have to open the fortnite.com/android site from your smartphone, click on the yellow "Let's start" button and then on "Download". Accettate di scaricare il file con estensione ".apk" e attendete che la procedura termini. Come si legge nella pagina del sito, una volta terminato il download e avviata l’installazione (basterà premere sul nome del file che compare nella lista delle notifiche) dovrete fornire alcuni permessi di sicurezza richiesti dall’app. Si tratta di una procedura "standard" quando si installa un’app scaricata al di fuori del Play Store. La procedura dura poche decine di secondi e, al termine, si aprirà una nuova pagina dalla quale installare il gioco vero e proprio: dovrete premere nuovamente sul pulsante "Installa" e seguire la procedura guidata. Nel giro di una manciata di secondi potrete creare il vostro account (o fare il login con le credenziali di un profilo Fortnite già esistente) e iniziare a giocare con Fortnite su Android.

Nel caso in cui il tuo dispositivo non fosse presente nella lista di smartphone compatibili con Fortnite, non devi comunque disperare. As reported in the Fortnite FAQ, it may be that your smartphone can still download and run Fortnite for Android. The important thing is that it has at least 3 gigabytes of RAM, Adreno 530 graphics accelerator or higher, Mali-G71 MP20, Mali-G72 MP12 or higher and is running Android 8.0 or higher.
