Honor 20 Pro has obtained Android certification and can finally arrive in stores. On board we find the Kirin 980, with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of memory
Almost a month after the official presentation, the Honor 20 Pro has obtained the Android certification and can make its official debut on the market, including the Italian one. The news comes directly from the Chinese company, which bets a lot on this top-of-the-line smartphone to increase its market share. The Android certification is necessary to be able to release the device on the market with the full operating system and with all the services of Big G.
The Honor 20 Pro was presented just in the days following Donald Trump's decision to suspend any trade agreement between Huawei (company that owns the Honor brand) and U.S. companies (including Google). For this reason, the Android certification had remained in the balance and the Chinese company had postponed the market release of the Honor 20 Pro, hoping that something would change. And the suspension for 90 days (until mid-August) of the ban Huawei always wanted by the President of the United States seems to have solved the problems of Honor. The smartphone will be released on the market in Italy in the coming weeks in the 8/256GB version at a list price of 599 euros.
Honor 20 Pro, the technical sheet
For its top of the range Honor has chosen the best hardware components on the market, starting with the 48-megapixel main photo sensor. The device has a rather clear goal: to enter the price range from 500 to 600 euros usually controlled by Chinese smartphones from the excellent value for money. The same that on paper also has the Honor 20 Pro.
On board we find the Kirin 980 (the same processor as the Huawei P30 Pro), supported by 8GB of RAM and 256GB of non-expandable internal memory. The screen is 6.26 inches with FullHD+ resolution. The design is identical to that of the View 20 and characterized by the presence of a hole on the display in the upper left corner, where the 32 Megapixel front camera is inserted.
In the back there is room for a quad camera. In addition to the 48-megapixel main sensor we find a 16-megapixel wide-angle sensor, an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x loseless optical zoom, 5x hybrid and 30x digital zoom. The fourth sensor is a 2 Megapixel ToF (Time of Flight) used to collect depth of field data.
The battery is 4000mAh with fast charging support. It will launch with Android 9.0 Pie customized with the MagicUI 2.1 interface.

There is no official release date for the Honor 20 Pro yet, but it should arrive in stores in the coming days/weeks. In Italy will come only the 8/256GB version at a price of 259 euros.
