In case of sudden emergencies on iPhone with iOS 11 updated operating system you can disable biometric sensors by pressing simple buttons
Face ID and Touch ID are two convenient solutions to increase cyber security on our iPhone. If for some reason we don't like the two Apple features provided for the new iOS 11 mobile operating system, there are some simple steps you can take to disable them in a few seconds.
It must be said that Apple has received a lot of positive feedback from its users, first for the efficiency of the fingerprint sensor and then for the facial recognition. Despite this there are some situations in which these security features can slow down our experience with the smartphone. Luckily, with iOS 11 you can disable both Touch ID and Face ID. This is a solution that Apple recommends in case of threats made by malicious people. For example, a thief could force us to put our face in front of the iPhone's sensor to unlock it and give him full access to all our information.
How to disable Face ID and Touch ID
There are basically two methods to disable both Face ID and Touch ID with a few clicks. If we own an iPhone 8 or lower, we need to press the power button five times in a row. This will activate the SOS mode. This feature will not only allow us to quickly contact emergency numbers but also automatically locks the biometric sensors. If instead we have an iPhone X we will just have to hold down for several seconds the two side buttons of the smartphone. In this way we'll activate the SOS mode and get the same result. In both cases, to re-enable the biometric sensors we'll just have to enter our unlock code to exit the emergency mode and use the iPhone in the classic way.
