Disney+ is compatible with most technological devices: from smartphones to tablets up to consoles and smart TVs
Disney+ has been available in Italy since March 24, at a price of 69.99 euros per year (for those who subscribed by March 23, the price is 59.99 euros) and with a very rich catalog. But the new streaming content service signed Disney is also characterized by the possibility of being enjoyed by many compatible devices.
It will be possible to use four simultaneously with a single subscription. Via browser or app, you'll be able to watch Disney+ from all mobile devices (Android, iOS and even Amazon Fire Tablet), from desktop or laptop computers, from PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, from smart TVs and, with a trick, even from traditional TVs not connected to the internet. Of course, if we want to see the content in 4K, we'll need a screen with this resolution and a very fast Internet connection. Here's how to watch Disney+ on each of these devices.
How to watch Disney+ on smartphones and tablets
Watching Disney+ on smartphones and tablets is simple: just download the appropriate app available for Android (from 5.0 Lollipop onwards), iOS/iPadOS (from version 11.0 onwards) or Amazon Fire Tablet. You won't need to do anything else.
How to watch Disney+ from web browser on computers
You can watch Disney+ on Windows, Mac and Chromebook computers via popular web browsers. On Windows you can use Chrome (from version 75 onwards), Edge (with the latest Chromium-based versions), Firefox (from version 68 onwards) and Internet Explorer 11. On the Mac we can use Safari (from 11 onwards), Chrome (from 75 onwards) and Firefox (from 68 onwards). On Chromebooks we need Chrome OS 79 or later.
How to watch Disney+ on consoles
Both Sony's PlayStations and Microsoft's Xboxes are compatible with Disney+. The supported consoles are: PS4, PS4 Pro, PS4 Slim, Xbox One, Xbox One S and Xbox One X. To view 4K content from the consoles, you need to connect them to an HDCP 2.2-compatible TV.
How to watch Disney+ on smart TVs
Disney has released the Disney+ app for Android TVs, so all TVs compatible with this platform can be used to watch Disney+ content without any problems. Even some set top boxes are compatible with Android Tv, as are Tvs running LG WebOS and Samsung Tizen.
How to watch Disney+ on non-smart Tvs
Finally, even if our Tv is not smart and connected to the Internet we can still use it to watch Disney+ by connecting it to a compatible streaming device, such as Amazon Fire Tv Stick, Apple AirPlay, Apple TV (4th generation onwards), a compatible Chromebook (see above) or a Chromecast/Chromecast Ultra.
