An official photo of Huawei's new top of the line home, the Mate 20 Pro, has appeared on the famous Chinese social media Weibo. Along with the image showing the official design, several technical features about the Chinese company's device have also been made known.
If the image that appeared on Weibo is confirmed, the design of the new Mate 20 Pro will be directly influenced by the Mate RS Porsche Design, the luxury smartphone presented last March at the same time as the Huawei P20 and Huawei P20 Pro. A very marked change of strategy for one of the most anticipated devices in the second part of 2018: in fact, one of the elements that have distinguished the top of the range Huawei of early 2018 should disappear. In the image spread on Weibo, in fact, the notch is absent and there is not even space for the frontal fingerprint reader: it is likely to have been integrated inside the display, so as to contain the general size of the phablet.

The photo appeared on Weibo is only frontal and this means that we still do not know if, as well as on Mate Porsche Edition, there will also be a smart fingerprint sensor placed on the back of the device. As for the design of the front we can see very thin bezels on all four sides of the device, for a full-screen view very suitable for viewing videos or streaming. On board we find the Kirin 980 processor, currently in production and never seen so far at work. Huawei's top-of-the-line device will also have the 40W fast charging system.

The photo comporto will be a huge selling point for Huawei's new phablet. The Chinese company in recent times has been investing a lot on high quality sensors and it is no coincidence that the P20 Pro has been elected as the smartphone with the best camera in the world according to the well-known French benchmarking service DxOMark. Basically on the Mate 20 Pro we will find the same triple rear camera already admired on P20 Pro with the difference that the 40-megapixel main sensor will be further improved up to 42 megapixels. While the front-facing camera should be single, perhaps the same 24-megapixel one already appreciated on P20 Pro, but we still don't know the details of this sensor.
