Nokia 1 with Android Go will be released in March

The Finnish company could present at Mobile World Congress 2018 in Barcelona the Nokia 1, a smartphone for the Android Go platform

2017 was the year of Nokia's return to the smartphone market. 2018 could be the year of affirmation. The Finnish company is working closely with HMD Global to make the devices coming out for 2018.

One of the first to debut will be the Nokia 1, which as you can guess from the name will be an entry-level smartphone, dedicated to those who want to spend an amount of less than 100 euros for the phone. The smartphone is in addition to the various Nokia 3, Nokia 5, Nokia 6 and Nokia 8 that have represented the relaunch of the Finnish brand in the world of smartphones. The peculiarity of Nokia 1 is the version of the operating system on the smartphone: it will mount, in fact, Android Go, the OS of the green robot designed for smartphones with 512MB/1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory. The smartphone will make its debut at the Mobile World Congress 2018 in Barcelona.

Features Nokia 1

Few rumors have come out so far about the Nokia 1. Following the numbering kept by the Finnish company, one can imagine that it is an entry-level smartphone with limited features. The rumors speak of a device based on Android Go, the platform developed by Google to develop affordable smartphones for developing countries. Android Go can be defined as a Lite version of the mobile operating system developed by Google. It is optimized to work with a hardware compartment with 1GB of RAM and little storage space. If so, it means that the Nokia 1 will mount a Snpadragon 2xx chipset or a MediaTek, supported by 1GB of RAM and at most 8GB of internal memory (expandable via microSD card). The screen will not exceed a size of five inches and will have a resolution of 1280×720 pixels.  Performance will be very limited and will support only the most used applications. The photographic compartment is also shrouded in fog: it is likely that there will be a front and rear camera of 8 megapixels. The Nokia 1 will bet everything on autonomy: the battery of the Finnish smartphone could guarantee a use of more than two days.

Price and release date in Italy

The Nokia 1 will be present at the event that Nokia is organizing for the Mobile World Congress 2018 in Barcelona, along with the Nokia 7 Plus and some other surprises that the Finnish company together with HMD Global are preparing.
