Redmi is ready to launch the Redmi X, a smartphone with 48 Megapixel camera. On board the Snapdragon 71 with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage
Redmi is one of Xiaomi's historical brands and has recently become an autonomous company with its own identity. The ownership is still with Xiaomi, but Redmi has its own CEO and its own network of employees. And within a month it's already able to unveil two new devices. After launching the Redmi Note 7 at the beginning of the year, the Chinese company is already ready to present a new device. Online leaked a teaser in which it is shown a smartphone and announced a release date.
The device in question is the Redmi X, an advanced version of the Redmi Note 7, and the presentation is set for February 15. Already in the days following the launch of the Redmi Note 7, it was speculated that a more high-performance model would be presented. And now the confirmation has arrived. How is the Redmi X different? Definitely in the photographic compartment and most likely also in the internal components. The only thing that the two devices will have in common is the price-quality ratio: the Redmi X will also have a very competitive cost.
Redmi X, the characteristics
The smartphone will be a mid-range, like most Redmi devices. According to rumors, the device will mount a Snapdragon 710 chipset supported by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, expandable up to 256GB with a microSD. The screen of the Redmi X will be the same present on the Redmi Note 7: 6.3-inch diagonal with FullHD+ resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. At the top center we will find a teardrop-shaped notch where the front camera is inserted. The big difference between the two smartphones is the rear camera module. Instead of the 48-megapixel sensor made by Samsung, we'll find the 48-megapixel sensor produced by Sony. The fingerprint sensor is hidden under the display. Battery of 4000 mAh.
When the Redmi X comes out
The smartphone will be presented on February 15 and it is to be expected that it will be immediately available in China. For the European version we will have to wait a while, most likely early spring.
