The new Sony Z9G TV is ready to hit the market. It will have 8K resolution and cost like a luxury car. Check out the specs!
As 2019 gets underway, Sony is about to launch its new range of Bravia-branded TVs on the market. Among the different models, stands out the luxurious Sony Z9G, the 98-inch 8K TV, available at a price of a whopping 62 thousand euros, as much as a Jaguar or a Maserati. In short, as some of the most luxurious cars in the world.
Aside the luxury TV, the line also includes other less prohibitive models, one of them has an 85-inch screen and will be offered at a price of about 12,000 euros ($ 13,000 in the U.S. market). Those who can't afford the luxury TV can therefore console themselves with a cheaper one, if you can call it that. If instead you want to spend even more, the market naturally offers several alternatives, such as Samsung Q900, available at around 90,000 euros. The luxury TV signed Sony remains, however, one of the most anticipated and the reason is not only related to the price.
Sony Z9G: the specifications of the new luxury TV
One of the most interesting aspects of the new Sony TV is represented by its resolution. It is, in fact, one of the first 8K TVs to arrive on the market: with its 33.2 million pixels it guarantees a very high accuracy and minuteness in the details of the images. Of course, at the moment the content shot natively in 8K can be counted on the fingers of one hand (or almost), but in the coming years should arrive on the market movies, TV series or movies shot natively in 8K.
Among other prominent technical specifications are the OLED panel (characterized by the "usual" perfect black and high contrast), the X1 Ultimate processor, one of the best in the world of television, Imax support for sound optimization and standard AirPlay 2 and HomeKit to synchronize the TV with Apple devices. Another peculiarity of the Sony Bravia Z9G is the Acoustic surface audio, which will allow the display to emit sound vibrations in addition to the images in the video.
Sony Z9G TV: when will it be available on the market?
The luxury TV will be launched on the market in June 2019. Along with the device, other models will also be available, such as the X950G 4K LCD, at a price of 1245 euros, and the cheapest basic model, 43-inch 4K HDR at a price of 580 euros, as well as other models.
